Using this digital thermometer for less than a month. At first was pretty accurate, but for the last week has been on a steady decline. I've cross tested it with two other thermometers, it is off by like 20 degrees. (84 in the tank, this thermometer says it is 66.) Very disappointed.

Nice bold numbers. Pop the battery in and hook to your interior tank wall Purchasing a 2nd for my orher tank. Possible more yet!

Easy thermometer that sits in the tank and tells you the temperature. I don't expect it to be crazy accurate, but it tells me the temp at a glance which is nice. I don't entirely trust a submerged battery, so I haven't put it in my saltwater tank, but it's held up in the freshwater tank. The suction cup does lose suction over time and has to be adjusted periodically and it's not backlit so you need light to read it. I have found the angle it sits at a little annoying and it's not adjustable so there's that.

I got this item to use in my turtle aquarium. It seems to keep accurate readings, according to the other thermometers I use on occasion to test its accuracy.It is easy to change the battery in. It seems to stick well to the side of the aquarium. I say "seems" here because I have found it on the bottom of my tank twice now. I didn't see it fall either tine, but I suspect it fell because my turtle might have tried to climb on it. He does that from every now and then. I can't fault the suction cup for not holding if he is putting an extra load on it.This is a well priced product that I would recommend. The design makes it easy to read and it seems to work as well as can be expected.

Stopped working 40 days after it arrived. Replacement battery did not correct. Would not recommend.

I also got the Carefree thermometer that sticks to the outside of the aquarium-- it was a dud, but this one definitely works! I'm a little nervous about how well the waterproofing's going to work with a replaceable battery panel, but if it dies I'll come update.

If the basic function isn't reliable, then the device isn't good. While easy to use, the thermometer starts drifting after about a month of use. With my kitchen thermometers, the tank is at 77 degrees, but this thing is saying 71. Worked great for the first few weeks, but not anymore.
