I have two very early rolling awnings, and my ancient roller seems to always get misplaced. I purchased this as an extra for an emergency sign fix above the awnings, so now I have two in case I have same problem again. Seems to be made very well and does the job!

I have an awning on my 13ft Scamp travel trailer. The original crank broke after 2 years of use. It was pretty light weight - however small and compact. This crank made by Carefree is much larger, thicker and heavier. I suspect it will last a lot longer. It works very well and it telescopes up to various lengths which is nice when your cranking on different surfaces and elevations of the ground.

I bought this to replace my swivel arm that came with the sun shade for my front porch. I needed one long enough that I could reach, with using a step stool. The arm is shown in its extended length and works wonderfully . I’ll take the swivel arm down for winter, and bring it back out for summer days. I know it’s meant for campers but it works for this too. Give it a try…no more step stools.

Smooth telescoping action, long reach, easy to crank. Pretty much exactly what I wanted. Too early to talk about durability, but seems well-made and solid. Don't think it would be long enough for a vaulted ceiling in a Great Room, for instance, but plenty of reach for what we wanted.

Works as intended. The hook is a little tight and the colour is unfortunate. Be nice if all white, silver or black.
