I was very happy when this little number arrived 3 days before it was supposed too (I have no idea why it did). Upon first inspection the case is lighter than I would have like, although combined with the banjo its pretty hefty (note: I have to take six flights of stairs). The hinges are surprisingly sturdy as is the handle, which upon discovery brought me significant joy. There are three latches, presumably steel, which run around the outer front of the case. I don't know why but I would have preferred four, just personal preference I suppose. Their is a lock on the middle latch although I wouldn't put your life savings in the case because its mostly for show, keep people from knocking off your tuning and all that. My banjo is approximately 39",14",5.5" (L,W,H) or 99.06,35.56,13.97 in centimeters which makes it a bit on the thin side. As a result of this my banjo tends to "sit", if you will, while the case is on the ground and "lean" when I pick it up. If you were to lift the case to quickly you might knock it around but if you stuff an old rag in there it will be good. Theirs also a storage bin in the case which I found delightful. I currently have a case of picks in there as well as a box of strings, tuner, notes, cloth (for cleaning strings), a mute (clothespin), a flask, and a partridge in a pear tree just kidding. My final assessment of this case is that it lives up to, if not exceeds the standards for a case of this price (at time of purchase $52.86). It's been about a month since my purchase and every things held up nicely.Pros:--Sturdy handle--Sturdy hinges--Support strap (keeps the lid from moving)--Superb storage bin--Soft interior clothCons:--Too many "s"'s in the Pros sectionFinal Remarks: I would fully recommend that you purchase this case for your banjo. It is well crafted, affordable, and a sound investment in the life of your banjo. Thanks for reading, Long live consumers.

Our Dean banjo fits beautifully in this case. Holds it snuggly and has held up great against our teenage son using it for about six months so far. Looks great, arrived quickly, and a great price.

I paid less than 60 dollars shipped for this case and I was very happy with it. I play a Fender FB58 and it fits snugly inside. When I say snugly, I mean it in a positive way since I would prefer that the padding inside hug my resonator rather than to let it jiggle about when I'm walking. There is some additional space up top if you have a longer headstock. The overall quality is good, but I probably wouldn't check it on an airplane, nor would I stack much on top of it. The wood is sturdy, but there is some obvious flex if you put too much pressure on it. As a musician, it should go without saying that you respect your instrument and don't assume that a case is going to save it from your abuse...but I also understand the primitive logistics of touring. Just be carefulMine arrived very quickly in a cardboard box that seemed...well, improvised. It was not damaged, but there were some spots that looked like a bird had pooped adhesive on it. I took a rag to it and made short work of the stain.Overall I'm very pleased with this case. I will mostly be using it around the house or when I need to transport my banjo to a studio session or someone's house. Day to day use, it seems ideal. If I end up taking this particular instrument on any extended tour (bus, plane, or otherwise) I will invest in a more robust travel case.

Basic plywood hardshell guitar and banjo cases typically go for about $100-$120 where I live, so at $60 plus free shipping this was a bargain. I see that the price has gone up a bit since I purchased mine, but it's still a better deal than anything I could score locally. This is your basic black vinyl-covered, plywood banjo case, with typical fuzzy interior padding and three reasonably heavy-duty latches. Hinges, handle, "feet" etc. were all as expected. It's not an Anvil(tm) aluminum flight case that you can drop down an elevator shaft, but it beats most of those cheaper styrofoam cases, and it beats /any/ gig-bags for keeping your instrument protected. And, it fits both standard 5-string bluegrass banjos and 6-string banjitars, the latter of which was a selling point for me. This is something to watch for: not all standard banjo cases will fit all 6-stringers.Oh, and the supplier provided blindingly fast delivery. I ordered this case at the same time as the banjo, and it arrived a week before the banjo!Nothing to complain about there.

Very nice case inside and out. It’s very sturdy, handle is ergonomic and is properly placed for good balance so is comfortable for carrying. Inside is lined for good protection, the storage pocket is large. I have a container (originally for sunglasses) with multiple sets of picks and a microfiber cloth in there and there is still plenty of room. My strap comes off and lays in the space beneath the neck. It has a keyed locking clip. Though I’m sure could be easily broken or picked, would also be a good deterrent. I’m very pleased with this case and would definitely recommend.

I bought a five string Jameson banjo back in January. This case fits it perfectly. There's even a place for supplies such as picks, tuners, etc. The lining feels great. The construction is great quality for the price point.

Bought my son a Deering Goodtime Banjo for Christmas and I wanted a low cost case for storage and travel. This case is very good. It's larger than this particular banjo, it's not a perfect fit. But towel solves that issue. Plus the extra size is nice for the strap without being cramped. Plus I'm sure this case will be useful when he gets his next full size Banjo. the case is well build, hinges are good and its solid. The banjo case will keep his banjo safe and secure.
