Here is the measurement way for reference:
1.Neck circumference,use a soft tape measure or piece of string and wrap it snugly around the base of your pet’s neck--snug enough so that you cannot fit any fingers under the measuring tape.
2.Depth, the size in inches from the neck to the snout.

My cat snapped his foot in half failing to jump on the railing above our 2-floor house's staircase. He has a splint/bandage and he absolutely must not damage it for 6-10 weeks. I tried a different "soft" cone and not only could he get around it by bending it, but he could pull the cheap velcro apart and get it off entirely.This cone is more rigid, a bit deeper, and the velcro holds tight. While he can sometimes reach the tip of his splint with this cone on (thus, I wish it were a little longer.. even half an inch), it holds tight and he can't bend it out of the way. The larger cone is deeper, but too big around for his little neck.Anyway, it's a decent cone. It has protected him from himself pretty well.

This is a really great and sturdy coneIve tried the soft cones and my cat easily gets them off but not this oneI got my cats a size M and she is about 13 lbs and still has plenty of room

The felt that is stitched around the outer edge of the cone comes off easily. The string from it got stuck in my cats mouth and about choked him.Velcro is strong enough. Plastic is easy to clean.

it was very easy to remove and install when dinner time came around to feed kitten. Inexpensive and great price , if you have a kitten ,if it measure close to 7.4inches ; Dont buy the next size up. 7.5-9.0 Use the Small one for kitten 4month old . it fits perfect. It worked out for me.but kitten getting bigger, time to order the next size up. easy to clean with wipes and back on .

This cone is small. Too small for our cat, even. Disappointed and unless you have an extremely small pet, don't bother with this thing.

Very easy to manage compared to what we got from the vet (they also gave us one for a medium-sized dog lol). We went a size below the rated size for comfort and it worked great. Our cat was still unable to lick her inner rear-left thigh (as she caused dermatitis due to overgrooming). The velcro allows a lot of adjustability and also is easy to deploy (we'd take it off whenever we fed the cats).

Got size L for my yorkie, fits well. I like that the sides are somewhat transparent, eases the discomfort a bit for my dog

Definite Helps when trying to cut kitty’s claws. Prevents her biting and chewing right to the bone! Yes, my kitty is a little devil (but only when it’s time to trim the claws).

I found the sticker with a bad quality when attempting to remove it from the surface. I would expect it to be easier to be removed once the cat sight would already be limited, but with this bad quality sticker on the plastic it will be even worst.
