I never write reviews but i had to for this because it’s so hard to find a good e collar. My cat came home with a heavy plastic one from neuter appointment and was trying super hard to take it off so i put this on him. After, he did take it off one time only but after putting it back on he hasn’t tried to take it off and sleeps eats and plays with this on. It’s sooooooo light super easy to wash off any stains because food and poop might stick on as they’re using litter box and it gets in the way. It’s sooo easy to wash and dry. Looooove this e collar !! He does everything fine and it’s so comfy since he doesn’t even try to take it off and can walk & run with it on!

Although my cat hates to wear it😂 this really has been the best thing for her! She needed to wear a cone but I didn’t want to go the traditional route. This soft and flexible “cone†was the perfect size and is a perfect fit. It has a drawstring neck that’s easy to adjust and the shape allows for easy eating for the fur babies. The only problem I’ve run into is them getting into the litter box but that might’ve been her acting weird too.

I recently adopted a rescue cat who came in a plastic cone with a red, raw spot on her back just above the tail. I have had cats for decades but have never had an animal that I really had to have restraint to keep them from licking a hot spot to an alarming size & depth, so I was a newbie at the cone game:). One thing I need to add here, when someone is considering this review, is that this little cat also came with NO TEETH:):)I tried item after item after item, from both Amazon & Chewy...all more expensive than this one. The Suitical, the Thundershirt....neither fit this strange, small, short legged a bit rotund little 9 lb. cat. Luckily this prevented me from moving to the onesies with long sleeves on all 4 limbs:) Even if she would have tolerated them, she always fell between sizes, & finding that out wasn't cheap! The plastic cone is the next best thing, but it is hard, claustrophobic & rather HEAVY for a smaller cat to hold up. I tried the padded comfy cone, maybe great for a small dog, but a good example that just because a cone is small, and will fit a cat, doesn't mean it isn't too bulky & heavy for one, & that once you get it on, the animal has no peripheral vision & stumbles around with her head hanging from the weight . The same with those puffy, colorful donut collars. Does anyone really think about the reality of the cat having its head immobilized in one of these things in one position? Ever had your head immobilized:)? Let alone eat, drink or lie down in more than one fixed position. I tried the softer, transparent, plastic collar & it was better, but continually flopped inward over her head or from the side, like the fabric flower petal collar did also. & it has a really strong plastic smell...after thinking about how it must be for her to be forced to breath it in the equivalent of having her head in a plastic jar, I let it go. I tried the cone collar with the padded neck, which made the transparent part just that much longer that my smaller cat couldn't even drink, & the extra weight dragged her head down. I tried altering it but again, this didn't change her constant breathing of the soft transparent plastic cone part. This silly collar is the absolute best I have found in a world of too expensive mistakes. The cat has her head free, can eat, drink & sleep in more than one position. She can run & move & stretch her whole body. It is lightweight & if I can put it on & adjust the easy to use push button string around her neck, with still enough room for her to breathe & not feel like she has hands around her throat. It stays on through eating, napping, running, jumping & playing with a toy mouse. My cat is very active & this doesn't impede her much at all. No, she doesn't like it as much as being free but...:)My only suggestion tho, would be to buy 2 if it really works for you. The lightweight material is something my cat will lick when she's in that mood, because while it keeps her from licking her chest etc. directly, it is thin enough that it feels like she's grooming:) This collar does keep her from licking the hot spot. But on a day when she is just going to groom, collar or no collar:), it can get a bit wet & icky, so I have to put her back in the plastic cone while I just wash it off in the sink & let it dry. I'm writing this review as I make my purchase of my second one, so I can just keep switching them out when she needs to wear it..... Hopefully this long winded review will save some other stressed cat owner a lot of time & MONEY:):)

Too small. I searched for something to keep my cat from reaching paws. This didn’t work the neck hole is perfect but the circle is too small. Che can reach all paws and his abdomen. This may work for a kitten but not for an adult cat.I’m hoping I can return it.

For the first week I thought it was a 5. But for me it’s just a three. I purchased it because my cat was over scratching his head and neck. It mostly prevents the scratching and he can still eat and drink in it. However the cloth and string around the center absorbs his oil and blood as he is healing. Which is expected. But I do have to clean it every other day. I would used warm soapy water and a rag and fingers to clean it and get rid of the smell. But after about a week the string started to really work. This morning which inspired the desire to now write the reviews, the string stopped working completely and it can’t get anywhere near tight enough and he simply shakes and it falls off.I imagine this is an issue with all of them using string. Not sure there is much more to do about it. If your cat is not that bad then it’s probably ok. But these things won’t last long. Few weeks at the most. He’s already scratched one hole in it on about the their day. But I out tape over it. You probably need to buy 3-4 of them for it to make it around a month or two. Guess I’ll try to find another type to buy. It’s getting exhausting honestly.

Penny has dermatitis, and bites herself till she has open sores. We got the large size for her and it works well. It fits comfortably and is a good diameter. She doesn’t try to get out of it our back up and I think it’s because of her ability to see what’s around her versus with a traditional cone. She has gotten out of it a couple of times - found her without it on when I woke up. I have since started tightening it a little more- it took me a little bit to get comfortable with her having something around her neck (I always imagine the worst happening), but it keeps it on, and she falls asleep with it on and does her cat stuff. But when we leave the house, I put her into a lightweight cat recovery onesie so that there is no danger of her strangling herself.I took the top off of the litter box so it’s easier for her to use. We’ve had it for about a week and a half, and it has acquired some little tears due to her trying to scratch behind her ears while she has it on; I expected this. Despite the tears, it has not ripped open or detached from the frame. Easy to wipe clean (Penny is a messy eater lol). She is sometimes able to bend it against her body and can reach some of her sore spots, but those times she just got lucky with the angle that had when she laid down. When it does happen, I put her in the suit.It does the job and has helped her start healing.

The "cone of shame" our cat came home with from the vet after his neuter was almost Worse then the recovery. I couldn't stand to see him struggle with that thing on and for 14 days! Found this and it was Perfect!! I almost sent a picture to the vet to show them how much better it is. He couldn't reach his incision at all but was still able to clean his tail and legs, moved around better, could see better, it's flexible so he wasn't getting stuck, better yet it was super easy and quick to put on and off so we could give him a bit of a break once in awhile without struggling to get it back on. He could sleep better and he didn't seem bothered by it at all! Highly recommended.

Held up for the two weeks she had it on. The only area she could reach was the tip of her tail. She didn’t mind wearing it at all, it was easy to put on/take off, adjust, and was very comfortable in it. She could eat just fine and rarely had trouble with jumping and playing. By the time we took it off, it was very torn up and falling apart on the bottom from her scratching and licking at it, but it stayed together pretty well. Definitely worth the price, but not great for long-term use. I would recommend this product for after surgeries or as a temporary fix!

This is not very durable. My kitten Cheyenne had it pulled apart three days after I put it on her and she hated it. She also managed to pull it off twice before I discontinued its use.

I have a kitty who has obsessive licking and has a different cloth cone he usually uses during a flare up, but this time he had a spot on his lower leg that he could still reach - I tried 3 other cones with no luck, this one is perfect! It’s very comfy for him too and he’s happily playing and sleeping as normal. He’s a small framed cat and the medium fits well with room to spare, very adjustable. The cone also easily wipes clean. Highly recommend this cone!!! I can’t say enough good things about it.

This one seemed to be the most comfortable on my car however the outer round part is very thin and my cat scratched holes through it. Also, if your cat is flexible like mine, he just reached around it to lick the infected area on his belly. It would be better if it was a little wider and more durable material
