My cat loves this scratching post. This is the second one I have purchased of this model. The first one lasted slightly over a year but needed replacing due to bad shredding of the sisal rope. Cat loves to play with the hanging toys, sharpen his claws using all three posts, and perch on the top to watch the outside happenings. Sturdy enough for a larger cat (my cat is 18 lbs.).

I ordered the first one of these posts in early April and a second one a few weeks later. I loved the quality and how solid they felt. The cats love them and they are fantastic for the price. I would love to give it five stars, but cannot do so. As you can see by the photos, the sissel is unraveling after several months on the bi-colored post. I went to the website of Petmaker to at least try to find out the type and size of sissel so that I can repair it myself, but received no response. I made sure that I had filled out the warranty and sent another email with a warranty request, but after weeks I still have not received a response. It is surprising that a product that feels so sturdy would have so little after-purchase assistance. Feel free to purchase this item, but be warned that the posts may not last as long as you hope.

This is the second one that I have purchased. The last one was gray. I have six cats who use this multiple times a day and it really holds up well. The brown was a little darker than I expected, I prefer the gray color for my house, but I got what was on sale this time. Even though I don’t care for the brown color, I would buy it again because my cats love this scratcher more than anyone they’ve ever had. They love to lay on top of it and reach down and play with the toys just as much as they love, putting their nails and the pillars.

This really deserves 4.5 stars. I knocked off half a star because the little balls and bird that were attached with elastic were too thin. Also my cat chewed through it in less than 5 minutes. So if you have a cat that likes to do this also be warned. The good news is I was able to cut off the remaining elastic and now it's just another set of busy balls for them to play with. I had to throw the bird out because I didn't think it was safe and worried about choking hazards. Other than that, this is a very sturdy item and my cats like to play rough sometimes. They love sharpening their claws on the top and the bottom plus the posts. This is so much better than the scratching post I bought them before.

My cats love everything about this. They love sitting on top of it, batting the balls around, and using the three scratching posts. It’s also easy to assemble.

A real nice vertical scratcher for cats! Mine loves it at first site, she plays with is from the floor but also from the top and then bends downwards to play with the nice and balls.I just wish the poles could be taller as I have a long cat but she still loves it anyway! It also looks very nice in the living room, which is a big plus.

Easy assembly, all tools are included, and took under ten mins to put together. Scratching post is sturdy, my cat scratches the posts and jumps up on the perch without the item moving around or falling over. Great multipurpose item; variety of scratching posts, perch up top to let your cat lounge, toys attached. I wish the toys were attached by cable string as the black string on the mouse toy has already been chewed up and will soon be detached as you can see in the photo.
