I bought this because my youngest cat decided she only wanted to drink from the faucet. Set up was easy, with clear directions. Extra filters are easily obtainable in 12 packs; a replacement motor can be purchased. The footprint is small--about the size of a squared off tablet. Cleaning it is easy--I disassemble it, use a little Dawn, and put it back together. The water flow is gentle, and I wish the daisy stem were a little taller, as the cats practically have to turn sideways to get at the water. The tray on the top does hold some water as it recirculates, so the cats have a second option. The motor is very quiet, and the sound of the water is low. I have the blue one, which is about as bright as a nightlight. The light wavers with the motion of the water, which my youngest cat thinks means there's something in there, and occasionally beats up the tank. She has not been able to knock it over, but does push it around. The light doesn't give a true indication of the water level, but as the water runs low, the motor gets louder, which is a cue for me. Water can be added without disassembly. There are no fastenings--assembly is just stacking the plastic pieces. I haven't noticed any splash over onto the floor. It has run 24/7 for months without difficulty. An excellent value.

I like how well a double filter system keeps the water clean. The cats seem to like it better than water in a bowl. The only draw back is it's a double system.

I found these filters that fit perfectly into my cat fountain (I purchased the 67oz fountain that has the white daisy on the top and small LED light inside). What's nice about this set is that they also come with the foam "pre-filters", so you can change both each time. Will definitely buy again!
