ZE-208S E89885 Ceiling Fan Switch Specifications
This 3-speed 4-wire switch is compatible with hunter, Hampton Bay, harbor breeze, Westinghouse, Litex, Casablanca, Minka, etc ceiling fans.
- Function: OFF, High, Medium, Low
- Settings: OFF, L-1, L-2, L-3
- Electrical Rating: 6A 125VAC – 3A 250VAC
Your Fan Wires Color and Position May Vary
Write down the color of each wire and the portal number to which they are attached on the switch, because the color may not match the color you took out.
Please refer to the following fan color code:
- Harbor Breeze ceiling fan: L=Black, 3=Purple, 2=Brown, 1=Grey
- Hampton Bay ceiling fan: L=Black, 3=Grey 2=Brown, 1= Purple
- Hampton Bay ceiling fan —Alternate colors: L=Black, 3=Yellow, 2=Purple, 1=Red
- Hunter ceiling fan: L=Black, 3=Green, 2=Brown, 1=Grey
- Basket fans: L=Black (power), 3=Black (not power), 2=Blue, 1= Red
- Exhaust fans: L=Black (power), 3=White, 2=Brown, 1=Red

I managed to bust the pull chain from the fan switch and for the life of me, could not repair the switch, so this product came in handy. Although the wiring instructions (only found on the product page), didn't match my ceiling fan brand, I found the best matching option and went with it. The worst that could happen is that the fan speeds would be out of order. Luckily all is well and my fan is back in action.Cons: it would have been helpful to include wire nuts. You will need them.Overall, Recommended.

These switches were good quality and installed easily. It just seems like there is only 2 speeds instead of 3 but not the end of the world. So because of that I gave 4 stars.

It was super easy to install. I pryed out the wires that were attached to the switch & inserted the wires from the fan so no need for connectors at all. Fan is working again. Would recommend this to anyone trying to replace a ceiling fan switch.

The old three-speed switch in my ceiling fan broke, and this switch was a perfect replacement. With four small wire nuts, I quickly installed the new switch after snipping the wires from the old switch.

I installed this new switch myself in my overhead fan and it took less than five minutes. I pulled the chain to start the fan and it worked perfectly. Great item.
