The aperature mask is good for increased focal length and clarity although with this film just a bit dim at higher res. The film is okay (yellow type) and the attachment is secure. I had built one from film for my Skywatcher 100ED but it was a pain to work with. This fits the scope and goes on and off easily with secure mounting when in place. Worth the small cost to have it.

I used this filter for the annular eclipse this last October. It performed perfectly. I am very pleased with the quality of this item. It fit over the end of my refractor telescope and a number of people stopped by and enjoyed the view of the eclipse. Would certainly buy another item of this brand should the need ever arise.

Used during eclipse 2024 and got some great looks at the corona. It doesn't *quite* fit perfectly on the 127 SLT, it's very loose and actually slipped off once as I was trying to clean it.

I am not sure if this is the right filter for my telescope. I originally bought for the April 8th eclipse, but was not able to try and set up prior due to medical issues. The day of the eclipse, I couldn't figure out how to use it so we just use our eclipse glasses and filter for the camera. If I can figure it out I will update my review at a later time.

Oh, I thought I was getting only the filter! However, the 6" cap fits neatly on top of the 10" one on my telescope. I don't have to make a plate for it after all.

Salió muy bueno. Lo malo es que no lo supe escoger bien y pues asumo mi error. Le quedó un poco grande al “travel scope 70mmâ€. Lo pongo para que no les pase lo mismo que a mi.

Size I needed was out of stock, I cut this one to fit my 70-300 lens on crop sensor dlsr. Should be around 500mm equivalent. Works great, even managed to see sun spots!
