I loved the cello bridges that I ordered. I took them to school and fixed to cellos for my students. Thanks so much.

I paid $30+ specifically to get a bridge that I wouldn't have to tweak very much so I could put it on and go- I pulled it out of the package and almost immediately started the return. String slots are notched in rather than filed, and all the same size (big no), still 20mm longer than the standard bridge height, and the feet weren't shaped to the arch. All of these unmet points were specifically included in their product description as being carefully paid attention to, and, at least in the case of what I got, they most certainly did not. If I wanted to do a lot of extra work, I'd just buy the 5 pack of blanks elsewhere for $8 (which is what I did, it works great). The only thing that is accurate is the wood, which is indeed maple.

This bridge fits nicely on the student 4/4 cello my daughter uses in her Orchestra class. The bridge is more substantial than the bridge that was replaced and delivered good sound quality with Helicore strings. Of course, everything sounds better with Helicore strings, but the bridge did not distract from the sound quality at all, no vibration or other distortion was noted. I noted during the review that the price is slightly more than other similar bridges, but it is entirely possible that you get what you pay for. I did not review the other bridge models at this time. Recommended.

This is a tough one to review as the bridge of a cello is such an essential important component of the instrument. And cellos come in so many different sizes and shapes that to have a precut bridge that will fit all is implausible. This would probably work for a very inexpensive cello but I would not recommend for any serious student or cello. Of course if you want to carve and shape the bridge it could be made to work better, but even that requires practice and skill. That said the price is good.

The top of the bridge had been cut to the wrong side. It is of no use. The high end of the bridge was on the wrong side and it was impossible to correct as it would have been to close to the fingerboard.
