Sculpted of cold cast resin, the door knocker beautiful portrays the face of the Green man as a weathered and gnarled tree stump, with verdant green leaves sprouting to form his beard, hair, and eyebrows. Hanging from his mouth is an ornate metal ring, that swings freely to knock upon whatever door it is hung. With pre-bored holes in which you can place your screws, hanging it will be a cinch! This door knocker hangs 7 inches long and 4 inches wide.

I really like the looks of this door knocker. It is smaller than I expected, but that’s OK. I had to use a drill bit to make the holes large enough for the screws to fit the item. I think there could’ve been a better design for hanging it, but you can get it to work. That being said… I would buy it again.

Hubby and I just love our new Green man door knocker. It's just the right size (7inces long with knockerx 4 inches wide) . I painted my door and shutters a hunter green color and he is a nice finishing touch. I did appreciate the review that mentioned the screws for the knocker are silver. Like suggested, I painted them brown so he won' t look like he has pierced ears lol. Other than that minor issue, it looks great. Hubby hand hewed a rustic front porch, and we live in the woods, so I love the nature aspect of the knocker. The price here at Amazon was the lowest I found....some places he is 28.00, I paid 17.00. It feels substantial not cheap and I just adore his interesting face. I hope this helps.

I live in the mountains in Ca, and this looks great on my front door. Even UPS had to say he liked it and where did I buy this at.That said, this does look good, and was easy for my Un-Handy Husband to put up. I read it should be hung 4 1/2 ft from the bottom of door.(google)I bought 2 dark brass hammered looking tacks from amazon (2.99), for the knocker to hit the one Tack and not my door.I also took a black felt tip pen to color the silver screws that come with this.I have seen this door knocker on other web-sites for allot more money, although they might be made from a different type of material.This is made from Resin.My front porch roofing comes out far, its large , so this will not get wet, or snow on it.I would buy this again.

It is a lovely piece, but you will need to find smaller screws. The ones they send crack the mold. We were able to repair it, but only because my husband is handy.
