Your cart is empty. DuPont Kapton tape is composed of kapton film coated with high temperature silicone adhesive rated up to 500°F. It provides excellent electrical insulation, abrasion resistance and high dielectric strength. Silicone adhesive Kapton tapes are mainly used in applications that require high temperature resistance. I've been making some small LED light houses and trees for the holidays, and easiest way to wire them is to lay down some copper tape, solder the LED +/- to the copper, and then run some of this Kapton tape over the copper tape and LED legs to provide some safety (everything will be enclosed, but I'm an engineer, so typical belt AND suspender type of logic).

Used it to disable pin on hard drive so it would turn on. Worked perfectly I highly recommend this product.

CGS, 2 Mil Dupont Kapton® TapeIt's thick, sticky, very heat resistant and unfortunately stupid-expensive for a throw away product. Still, it is a very quality product the performance of which I was able to rely on, and therefore in my opinion worth the money for the peace of mind when using it.:o)

I got this to wrap the screw bases for antique light fixtures once they were covered in fish paper. I am confident that this tape will last for years to come, given the old tar paper insulators lasted for over 100 years.This tape is easy to work with, though it isn't quite as sticky as black electrical tape, it is still sticky enough to hold on.

Used it to tape a carbon bike rim, then to mask some legs of a chip for soldering that I don't have the skill to do directly. Worked for both.
