As a student teacher you are told that you will never see a "chalk board" again. Everything is dry erase and smart boards...My second student teaching placement I had a chalk board and this really saved me. I wasn't gross by the end of the day, and when it was 95 degrees in my classroom, the sweat chalk mixture never happened. I highly recommend this to anyone who deals with chalk boards :)

They work for the most part. Occasionally a chalk stick is oddly shaped and can be too small or too big, but it does the job of stopping the chalk from rolling off my cutting table.

Get several of these, as well as different colored chalk. You'd be surprised how much of a pro you feel like, making multi-colored diagrams, like I do in my engineering courses.

It's cheap. Cheaply made, easily broken. The chalk fell smooth out the first time I taught, which isn't great for the first day of school! Spend a little bit more and buy ANYTHING other than this product. I read the reviews before purchasing and thought "How could the chalk not fit? These people must be morons!" Yeah, I'm the moron for buying it after the reviews. In summary, buy anything else. DON'T BUY THIS.And have a good day :)

This works fine, but I did not receive a gold one. I received a red one. I specifically chose this chalk holder because it's gold, and I can't return it because I need to use it today specifically.

The chalk holder is nice to hold but is unable to clamp the chalk sufficiently for easy writing on the board.

I bought this item because I am a teacher and the moment I needed to push up my chalk, it would not hold because the fit was too loose. Poor quality. I had to g buy another one at Staples.
