Not a lot to say about this chalk other than it's chalk and it works well. The pieces break about as easily as any chalk. It writes well and looks good on the board. The large amount of chalk that you get for the price is definitely worth it. It's a big box that will last a long time.

The idea that this is low dust is an absolute joke. Just touching one left my whole hand covered in powder. Rating on that end, this would be zero stars.As an actual regular chalk piece it's pretty nice though. You get a lot and they're decently sized as well, so that's not a bad bargain. As regular chalk, this is five stars for me. So I'm splitting the difference at four stars.It doesn't write very well on some of the cheaper plastic chalkboards that are out these days, but it's not impossible to read. It erases very nicely to. You can see it as the example in my review photo that it's in quotes, versus the non quotes one that actually is low dust. Even in the way they write you can see the difference.

well they certainly pack a lot of chalk into such a small box, this is your typical every day use chalk. white, school chalkboard chalk. paint a wall in your child's room with chalkboard paint and give them this, they will have tons of fun drawing on their art wall.

I guess I should have expected this, I mean it is chalk, but I was disappointed that at least 25% of each of the boxed I ordered arrived broken. I really needed the full piece for what I was doing, but no local source had the quantity I needed

This set has many plain traditional pieces of chalk. The chalk and eraser work as expected on a blackboard. Like other thin pieces of chalk, they can break if held the wrong way when writing. I would buy these again.

Okay, so it's chalk. So rating or reviewing it is hard. It's chalk. Plain, ordinary, functional chalk. If all you want is basic plain chalk to effectively write on a black board, this will 100% get the job done. It's super dusty, super messy, super lightweight, quickly consumed, will squeak on the board, and is very normal chalk. But for those of us who know about more premium chalks in the world, which are truly dustless, heavier, have anti dust coatings for your fingers, have higher end compositions and ingredients, and are buttery smooth to write with, but are also more expensive, we know this chalk is plain, functional, and perhaps unappealing. They are a slightly larger size than normal, which is great for in the hand, and certainly you're getting more chalk for your value, but may not fit common plastic or metal chalk holders some folks use. It's nice it comes with an eraser, though it's not particularly relevant to me. I'm a bit of a chalk nerd and buy Korean and Japanese chalks regularly. This doesn't compare to those. But it totally compares to other commonly found, low cost, plain jane, functional chalks. I won't mention the other brands I find to be excellent, but no this chalk isn't in the upper echelon of chalks. But for most people, who cares anyway?

we play a lot of darts and have an old fashioned score board and needed the chalk. this value pack works great so we can use them inside and also with out outdoor games. was delivered really fast and worth waiting for. great value for the money

This isn't the worst chalk, or the best chalk. It's pitted, and fragile and will squawk from time to time, but it produces the same clarity of line as the best chalk--it's just not as nice feeling, doesn't look as good, and is slightly more brittle. If you put it in a chalk holder, that last one isn't an issue.It's very usable, but it's no Hagoromo/Rikagaku. Doesn't cost as much either.
