Despite its inexpensive price, it's more than adequate to do the job....and I really like that the bottom piece is plastic. I remember setting my teeth on edge when using the all aluminum ones....**shudder**. Just what I needed!!

The slicer is seems very cheaply made. However, it does the job and cleans easily. I replaced a more expensive 3 way slicer that was very difficult to clean... even in the dishwasher. This is the only 2 way slicer I found so I will keep it...for now!

after a single use (~5 eggs) one of the wires is now loose and no longer lines up properly with its slot. i don't expect this item to be in my kitchen very long
