I had a similar one for 10 years. Had a wooden handle so it broke. This has a plastic handle. Slices well. Easy to clean.

It’s of sturdy plastic and metal. I’ve used it on fairly hard cheese and washed it two times and it’s held up well. This replaced a very sturdy one that I left behind when I moved. lThis compares quite well. I would recommend hand washing and promptly drying with a towel or on a dish rack to avoid oxidation. That’s how my old one hasted so long. I’ll check back in a few months.

Doesn't feel substantial when using it, as if the wire will break. But it seems to be holding up quite well after many uses.

I'm economy minded, so I tend to hunt value which is not always the cheapest by any means. However, a cheese slicer doesn't have a lot of moving parts, so I figured I was safe on this. It is beyond junk. Go throw your money in the street and you won't have buyers remorse or another piece of crap in your kitchen drawer or another empty box to fool with. I didn't expect to get the slicer that they are using at the Ritz-Carlton but I did not expect a loose banjo string that stretches even further when the tin foil handles bow under the massive pressure of a block of cheddar cheese.

Para cortar queijos muito moles ele é bem mais prático do que as tradicionais plainas de queijo. Só achei muito frágil. Se fizer um pouco mais de força, o cabo plástico se quebra. Para uso doméstico, baixa demanda.
