It helps clean stains from red, black, blue-green, and methane (bubble) producing cyanobacteria in marine aquariums. It is completely safe for all fish, corals, invertebrates, and nitrifying bacteria in reef systems. It's simple, quick and easy to use. Chemiclean works within 48 hours oxidizing trapped organic sludge and promotes an ideal enzyme balance. ChemiClean will clean stains from red cyanobacteria in aquariums. Aquarium oxygen levels MUST be increased using heavy aeration or large air stone. Turn off UV sterilizer, ozonizer, and remove Chemi-pure, or carbon during treatment. Continue using protein skimmer, although skimmer may require adjustment to prevent excessive overflow. Maintain normal water flow using pumps and power heads. For every ten (10) gallons of aquarium water, dissolve one level scoop (included) of ChemiClean into one cup of water removed from the aquarium. Pour solution with dissolved ChemiClean back into aquarium, dispersing evenly. Successful treatment may take up to 48 hours. After the 48 hour treatment period, perform a 20% water change. Turn on UV sterilizer, ozonizer, and replace Chemi-pure or carbon. Repeat as necessary. ChemiClean can be used monthly as a regular component of aquarium maintenance.

Great stuff! Cleans cano like nobody's business. Doesn't harm fish. And this was way cheaper on Amazon then in the pet store. Easy to mix. Does have a strong odor. But does the job Will be ordering more....this is the only stuff I've found that completely gets rid of Cano and I've been a fish keeper for 10 years.

100% works to kill off Cyanobacteria (blue-green algae). Took two doses to rid my aquarium of a very bad outbreak after I manually removed as much as possible. So happy that nasty smelly crap is gone!

I actually used this for blue green Cyanobacteria and it worked like a charm. I followed the instructions exactly as they said. Completely gone (visibly) from my nano tank.

It took 2 days and all the cyano was gone! I followed the directions instead of adding an air stone I used a small pump I use to mix my salt and put it in the sump it was enough currant to make the bubbles for the return.

Works well to remove blue green algae in fresh water tanks. I've been battling what I thought was just green dust algae appearing every week and coating the aquarium glass and all the plants and hardscape. I just thought it was run of the mill green dust algae, but I was wrong. After a bit of research, it was identified at blue green algae as it came off in sheets when scraped of the glass with an algae blade scraper. This chemiclean got rid of it very quickly in under a week, and I hope it never returns. My fish - a bristlenose catfish and a siamese flying fox seemed unaffected by the treatment. I just put an extra airstone in on high as per instructions on the box.For the money paid for this, versus the time and effort to scrub the glass and clean the hardscape with every weekly water change, it's well worth it in my eyes.
