Step 1: Place the dashed line of the desired CUT size on the seam line of an unpressed half-square triangle.
Step 2: With the rotary cutter, trim the two sides of the half square triangle.
Step 3: Keep the trimmer in place. Trim the dog ears using the edge slots on each side that align with the chosen size. Trimming is now complete.

Absolutely need to get one of these templates. Can trim and cut off the corners to reduce bulk at the seam intersections. With use of this slotted trimmer, you have accurate blocks and seams match. I have 3 different sizes of these.

This is a game changer for doing triangle. They are all ways stressful for me because they don’t line up right or my corners are a mess. I was able to use this and my triangle was so much better.
