Exactly what I needed! The hot tub strips I was using from other brands were way too confusing, this is very easy to read and maintain! I use the same brand for my pool with the Clorox App in the summer, works Excellent!

These test strips are easy to understand and use. Just dip in water and wait for the results. The pack includes instructions to test for ph, chlorine levels, alkalinity and hardness level in the water. Strips are easy to understand even my 10 year old know how to read it correctly. Perfect for home pools or hot tubs, and jacuzzis.

I have had a home hot tube for about four years now. I decided to give these a try and compare the results to the strips I have been using for years. These Clorox ones are fantastic and just as accurate as my regular test strip band. I have appreciated using them and would absolutely recommend them.

These test strips are super accurate. I have been having problems with my spa's PH and recently had the PH tested by a professional. Shortly after I tested with these strips and got the same reading. Definitely a must have for any pool or spa owner.

I wanted to test these before using in my hot tub. The first test strip was dipped in tap water...everything was as expected. However, I had an anomaly with the PH level---it was off the charts on one half of the pad (bright red) and normal (orange) on the other half of the same pad.. this happened on 3 tests. Not sure what to make of it. Since it was tap water, the orange side read correctly. Then I added Bromine to the water and tested again...it read the excess Bromine levels correctly. So if your main concern is PH beware of this anomaly...otherwise everything else tested good especially for the price.

These Clorox water chemistry test strips show 5 key metrics: free chlorine, total chlorine/bromine, ph, total alkalinity, and total hardness.Using the test strips is easy, submerging the strip completely in pool/spa water for about a second, holding the strip flat, and waiting 15 seconds will change the color of the test pad for each metric. The container has a color chart for each metric that allows the results to be interpreted. The text for each individal result is very small, I had to use a magnifying glass (I'm 71). There are 30 strips in the package. One caution, do not allow any water to get into the strip container, water will ruin any strips in the container. There is a desiccant pack in the container to prevent humidity or small amounts of moisture from spoiling the strips.I tested these strips against 2 other brands of test strips. For the 5 metrics these test strips measured I got similar (not identical) readings.I detected no visual or operational defects in manufacturing.

The test is easy and straightforward to use for the most part, at least theoretically. Just dip the stop elbow deep into the water, pull it out without shaking it, and read the results after 15 seconds. However, I've had a lot of issues and don't think ALL of them were user error (although some probably were). For example, I shocked my hot tub one day with Clorox Spa brominating granules. I went to use it 2 days later and it said the bromine was very low. That didn't seem right so I tested it again 2x with the same results. I put in the recommended amount for regular use to top it up (not to shock it). When I went to test it again, all 3 strips I used said the bromine levels were very high. Not sure how it went from 0-100 when I only did a top up instead of a full shock. Other times I'll shock it and the levels will still be on the lower side of ideal, so it was really weird that it read basically no bromine and then went to the opposite end of the spectrum just from the small amount added. My other main gripe is that the PH strip has a much more pale pink to hot pink hue than orange to true red, which makes it challenging for me to balance the PH sometimes. I've added too much PH decreaser before thinking that the pink meant it was leaning towards high (red) even though it was actually fine and just didn't match the reference picture. I even used the app to compare (which I don't recommend for hot tubs) and still struggle to identify what color it's closer to. Maybe I got a bad batch or something. I'm definitely going to branch out to try other brands after this though. For reference, I balance the bromine, PH, alkalinity, and calcium weekly using Clorox Spa products. The pics I posted are before I finished balancing the water on different occasions since I didn't have any good pics of when it's fully balanced while writing this review.
