I got the larger version of the pillow. I first have to admit that the first evening I tried it, I used it backwards! The u shaped pillow is used with the legs of the “u†in the back. That way works better if you have tailbone pain because you sit on it and there’s an open space for your tailbone so that it doesn’t come into contact with anything. It makes sense when you think about it but I don’t always think at first. I felt I should admit to that because I suppose there could be others out there who might not be thinking about it when they first try the pillow out. It won’t work for tailbone pain if you sit on it the opposite way and could definitely aggravate it. But hopefully others are thinking more than I did when they first try this. So I normally sit on my recliner and since I’ve lost 120 pounds, I ended up with tailbone pain. I asked my doctor what kind of specialist would deal with this and she responded that she thought it was probably from loss of subcutaneous tissue and that she didn’t think a specialist would be necessary, that it should try a donut pillow. But Amazon has some things that pop up when you search for something that look even better and I chose this one for the description and the price. And the look that appeared to be more comfortable than a standard donut pillow. I’ve been using it for a couple of days now and I feel that it’s working for my tailbone pain because it prevents me tailbone from making contact with anything, which results in the pain I was having. It’s a hard pillow but I think it needs to be or it might not prevent me from sinking into it and my tailbone would make contact with the seat of whatever chair I’m sitting on. It’s comfortable when I consider the pain I would otherwise be having. I feel this is a good quality pillow and the price is right and I would recommend it to my best friend or anyone else who has tailbone pain.

This is really comfortable. Looks and feels well made. If it ever wears out I'll buy another.

I've been using it for over 5 months now and it's holding up well. It alleviates a good portion of my tailbone and lumbar area ache and it helps with some of my hip pain issues. Its maintaining shape and the cover hasn't worn down noticeably. I give the functionality and support that I want and need.

Recently I found that my custom upholstered (formerly dining) chairs in our little home studio, all though they're quite whimsical and attractive, are not terribly comfortable to sit on for extended periods of time. The room is set up so that I'm using those chairs as I've been using a similar product for many years with my office chair and have found it to be helpful and comfortable.I decided to purchase THIS memory foam cushion because of the ratings and the price. So far, I have only parked my butt on it for one evening. But I was pleased that I was able to sit and practice for well over an hour without my narrow a$$ falling asleep. I will likely buy another for the other chair. The more expensive offerings MAY be superior, but my posterior doesn't find it inferior. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I ordered two seat cushions to compare. One with the butt bone holes (this one) and one highly rated cushion without. The difference was noticeable right away. This cushion is like sitting on a cloud. Cooling, comfortable and reasonably priced. Just may have to order another for my skinny butt.

it worked great for my back pain but i can't give it the full 5 stars because it smells hideous. like just a powerfully gross lingering chemically demonic mold or mildew odor right out of the box that has persisted for months. it gets on your clothes and the stink follows you everywhere. i got a second one just in case the first one was somehow defective and the new one stinks as well. washing the cover does nothing to fix this. i stuffed some stinky dryer sheets inside and it's a little better but it's still kinda nasty. i honestly thought i had some kind of mysterious fatal ass disease at first.

I love the seat cushions so much. I bought six of them. I even bought one for my tractor seat. They’re very comfortable and if you don’t have a lot of padding in your posterior, they are a godsend. They are also portable so there easy to move from one chair to another, and they seem to clean up fairly easily. I would suggest shopping carefully for these because the price varies greatly and a lot of games are played with the price of these items every day. I may buy a seventh one for an outdoor wrought iron chair.

Got this for my work chair. Almost a little too firm. My behind hurts if I have to sit for several hours at a time. Has held up very well. Hasn't lost its shape.
