The best ukulele strap on the market because it is affordable, durable, and has the special hook that no one else has. It is black silicone, flexible and soft and won't scratch my instrument. This is my second CloudMusic strap like this. I converted it from a lanyard-style neck by extending it to its longest possible length and tying it to my headstock so I get the best of both worlds, J-hook on the sound hole, but more stability when fretting. Still need to hold it tight so it won't fall forward and hit the floor. UPDATE: I now own three of these straps.

Not too long at all. Perhaps I have a newer model, or others have been using their’s incorrectly? With the strap around my neck, running behind and under my tenor uke, and clipped to the lower or A-string side of the sound hole, it fits me well (I am 5’10”). I mostly play seated, if that matters. The clip is heavily rubber-coated, so no worries about marring my instrument. Took a little trial-and-error to bend the clip perfectly to fit my uke, but I am admittedly fussy about such things. The strap is very attractive and well-made. The golden-orange floral pattern looks quite sassy with my golden-orange mahogany uke. 🌝 I come into town once a week to play with a very amateur ukulele group, and find the strap allows me to concentrate more on playing and less on supporting/positioning my instrument. Note: I need all the help I can get! And, as others have said, there was no way I was going to drill a hole into my uke, so this type of strap is ideal for me. Give it a try, be sure you are using it correctly, and I think you will be pleased.

CLOUDMUSIC Ukulele Strap Button Free Hawaiian Floral Ukulele Strap with Hook ClipI got this strap for a soprano ukulele that came without strap buttons. I wasn't keen on drilling into the ABS composite, so needed a strap with a hook. The strap is not at all wide--only 7/8". The soprano ukulele is so light that it's still a comfortable strap at that width, though for a larger ukulele I would want a wider strap. The inside of the strap is a soft, woven polyester that's similar to seatbelt material. There's a patterned ribbon sewn on top of it. The sliding buckle allows you to adjust the length of the strap. The silicone-coated hook arrives flat and you bend it where you want to fit the sound hole of your ukulele.Even at its shortest adjusted length, it's too long for where I like to hold my ukulele though. I'm 5'7", so not petite.

This strap works great once you bend the tab correctly. The silicone-covered metal tab that goes into the sound hole needs to be bent into a raindrop shape to minimize contact with the sound board, or else the ukulele will lose resonance. See the pictures posted. It first needs to be bent slightly back at the joint so that it won't lie flat on the top of the soundboard, as shown. Then it needs to curve around and close like a rain drop shape. Gently slide it in place, poking your finger I to the gap to release some pressure while sliding the tab all the way in.

I wanted to love this strap. The three stars is simply because of the length of the strap. The blue and white flower design is beautiful and the clip worked great to hold it, but the length was ridiculously long even on the tightest adjustment. I bought the scarf-style strap to compare before deciding what to do, but the scarf strap was way too long also, and the clip on the second strap I ordered was loose as if someone pulled it open, which I disliked as the tighter clip could be adjusted slightly to the side to avoid hitting it with my hand as I strum. Either strap would have to be altered to fit an average-size adult. Ultimately, I decided to return these and install a strap button on my ukulele instead. With that said, if you are looking for a simple, no-drill strap to support your uke while playing, I think either style would work great if you have the ability to do a little sewing (or you are seven feet tall). I personally found the jacquard strap too constricting hanging around my neck and much preferred the comfort of the scarf-style strap. If you're sensitive to wearing turtle necks or tight collars, the scarf would be a better option. Take note, this is not a hands-free strap! You have to hold onto your uke at all times when wearing it. It is simply for support to keep the uke from slipping and would work great for that if it wasn't so long. If you want to let go of your uke or sling it on your back, you'll probably need to install a strap button.

Ordered this little neck strap (in the Sunflower pattern) to use on my concert uke, which I had a hard time holding in position. The "J-hook" comes straight and is coated with a silicone rubber which protects the soundhole & surface of your uke -- you simply bend the J-hook & the strap to fit your instrument & body. I do wish the strap were just a few inches longer, to have a larger loop round my neck, but this is only an issue when slipping it on or off, not when playing -- it otherwise works great & does exactly what I needed.I have a CloudMusic gig bag for this uke, and also have a regular CloudMusic neck strap on my tenor uke. Their products are always well made, reasonably priced, and promptly delivered -- well recommended!

I was a little nervous of buying this strap for a new tenor ukulele as my soprano ukulele has buttons and a strap. This tenor ukulele pictured has inlay on the bottom and I was afraid to drill to install buttons. Read a few reviews about it being too long and I am 5 foot one so it would probably be too long for me but I can sew and would have to shorten the length. This strap is long but I brought it underneath and it works great! I actually like the style better that the buttons and strap. Nice too because I purchased the ukulele on Saturday, ordered this strap and got on Sunday. Able to play my new ukulele and not have it slide off my lap.

Strap is good looking - love the pineapple print, study, should last awhile but not crazy about hook that connects to ukulele. Watching for wear on ukulele wood.

Unfortunately the “hook” is just too flimsy for my ukulele, this was a waste of money.

Great design. Love the hook as it is coated with a flexible rubber.

The strap is way to short to use as a connection via the bottom of ukulele. The strap was crossed over then stitched, thus does not show pattern on both sides. Right idea, just no one tried them in real life. Will work from top if you want the ukulele to hang out at bottom. The strap looks great but totally unusable.
