This thing is a piece of junk! Such a waste of money. READ the reviews!! I was in a rush and didnt. Had i done so, i never woulda bought it.. sad tho, its concept is great but the machining is terrible..The biggest issue is the collet nut. ITS NOT MACHINED CENTER.. the tapper of the collet nut isnt even able to touch the collet clamp fitting...hense why every one is having vibration issues and damage to there routers...COMPLETE JUNK!!!! Even the steel used is soft. If you want quality tools, buy swiss or german made.. not this china crap...would have rated a 0 if it was an option.

Imposing size and for experienced router users only. Bits with bearings will add additional length to the extension tool to allow the custom tightening wrench to be removed after tightening.

My router is mounted upside down in my table saw bed. Some of my route bits have "Short Shanks". This little Jem allows me to get the router bit positioned correctly and still have the extender and route shanks fully engaged in the Collet (s)

Although the size is 'to specifications' the design is pretty extravagant. For my use, this meant that at minimum depth it extends closer to my work piece than 'necessary' and causes an issue when additional length is also required when the router bit is inserted. (I had to use spacers to get my work piece further away.)ADDITIONALLY, the wrench supplied is designed to fit OVER the locking castle nut which necessitates additional increased overall length in order to tighten down. I ended up resorting to using a (flat) C-wrench instead.But overall, the quality looks good (certainly for my use).

The product had a nice design but the steel needs a deeper analysis to what was advertised.I’m not sure what went wrong but unfortunately this set me back quite a bit, a refund would at least help.
