These compressors worked great for my coil springs on my e36. It's cheaper than loaning a used one from AutoZone and you get to keep it. Great tool to have in your tool collection if you're a home mechanic. I recommend adding a little grease to the threads anytime you use it. You can simply use a half inch drive ratchet or a socket. Did what I needed and solid quality.

Used this tool to install new struts in my Honda Civic, as the new struts did not come with springs. Followed the clear directions and the spring compressed very easily and transferred without an issue to the new strut. I was very happy with the result and would recommend this product to anyone who needs a decent spring compressor.

Easy to use and they didn't seem like a death device like some of the others out there. Take your time and do it proper, these should work well for you.

It’s designed for light duty and maybe some medium duty struts. It handled my front struts on my 2012 Acura TL and the safety locks worked great. Money well spent!

Changing struts or coils is a risky job for a DIYer like me so I decided to buy this spring compressor and change the front and rear struts on my Toyota Prius 2nd. Generation. It wasn’t an easy job but with this tool at least (if used following the instructions) was safe. If is your first time doing it, I recommend to take your time, be patient and watch some instructional videos on YouTube. This tool was very well designed and built. Highly recommended. ¡Safety first!

Fair quality, but it slipped and tried to kill me once. Use with care.
