This hook was really small, good for baby corn snakes or king snakes, it didn't function for what I needed, I didn't try it & see how it worked as it was small, however it was built well, & the price was very good, excellent for smaller snakes like hognose or coulbids

We have a small pet corn snake. He is 2 years old, 24" long and about 50g. The hook is the perfect size for helping us retrieve him out of the terrarium.The hook receives 3 stars because the collapsible/telescoping arm is really loose. I wish you could set the length and twist it to lock it in place but you cant. The looseness concerns me about the overall quality and makes me worry it will fall apart. Not something you want when you have a snake on the end.

The tip broke off during the first use, which could be very dangerous depending on what snake you’re holding.

I have a Ball Python that is happy to be left alone. However, come cleaning days when he has to be moved, I use this hook to lessen the amount of times getting tagged. It's faster for him which means less time out of his habitat. He is only a couple years old though so I do not think this would hold an adult but for him it works great.
