We purchased two of these for our community dog park. We have no trees or any protection at all from the sun. These have been life savers! They, even though light in color, provide a nice shade for all of the fur-baby parents as the dogs run and play. Even the dogs themselves take advantage of it! It provides "some" water protection, but only in light drizzle. Otherwise, there are places that water comes through.We actually had a very strong wind come through in a storm. We had the posts holding this snap in half (we have since upgraded to thicker posts). The shades were completely unharmed! Highly recommend.

We used this canopy for our outdoor space we built! Worked amazing and looked beautiful! I liked how durable it was! It was stretchy but it definitely took both myself and my husband to put it up! Overall loved it! Will buy it again for my next house!

We bought this for our back yard patio area, which is in direct sunlight until about 6:30PM. The red is really red, versus the photo came across as a bit maroon. However once we got it up we love it.It has made a huge difference in the temperature of our built-in bar and has allowed us to enjoy the area more.We have since bought another shade sail to cover a separate part of the back yard as well. This will shade part of our sun room in the morning and provide shade to the are we use for our doggie pen.Time will tell how it handles the sun but so far it has done good at handling the winds and some pea size hail.

We wanted a pergola over the patio but quite honestly didn’t have to money to do that at this time. After a lot of research and reading lots of reviews we chose this one. We needed a large sail so we ordered the 12x20 and I chose the brown for both aesthetic reasons and to produce more shade. We live in west Texas and are currently experiencing 100+ temps for a week now (with no end in site ugh!) and the wind blows almost constantly, sustained 15-20mph and wind gusts 30-40+mph. I purchased the hardware kit along with sail but found the tensioner quality to be poor so we purchased some from a local store. My husband, daughter and I hung this in a matter of an hour or so. We chose to use tensioners on all four corners because we had an issue with the cables sent in the kit. I ordered the 10’ cables but they sent 12’ and with that said even the 10’ were entirely too long, unless you are using the crank to tension and running them down a very tall pole. It required a LOT of tension to remove the sagging from the middle of the sun shade. We are absolutely loving it so far. We haven’t had it up long so I can’t comment on the west and tear of it. But absolutely loving it!

These shades are just as described and came when they said they would.The install is easy and highly recommend getting theTang Sun Shade Sail Hardware Kit with Cable Wire Rope.We have ours up and we are ready to entertain in the backyard. Plus I'm so happy my little granddaughter can be outside or in the pool and be out of direct sunlight.

These sunshades are made so well. I bought more of them 2 years later. So I have been using 2 of them for 3 seasons now, no tears, the grommets are all in tact, no tearing. They get battered in summer storms with wind and rain occasionally and stand up well. Very satisfied.

The quality is excellent, however, without the option to feed wiring through the pockets around the perimeter, it sags quite a bit in the center. I’ve placed an order for a smaller size to see if I’ll like it better, so we’ll see. Overall, decent for the price.

I bought a gray 20x12 sail in February 2022. As of May 2024 it has completely failed, with a rip down the middle length-wise from one end to the other. Upon inspection, I was able to easily push my finger through the sail in multiple spots that didn't have damage. So the problem isn't with a bad seam or other mechanical defect, the material simply degraded to the point that failure was imminent. I live in the Tampa Bay area of Florida, so the sail is exposed to intense sun, but not the whole day since there is shade from a tree to the East. The Amazon listing says there is a 3 year warranty, but there's no way this sail would last that long where I live. If you are ok with it only lasting about two years, then it is a good product.
