I bought this, because I was having tons and tons of back pain / sciatica, for months, even though I had just bought a new mattress. My new mattress was very supportive (medium firm), but it was a little bit too hard, I guess. I was spending a ton of money on the chiropractor and on massage therapy, with no discernible improvement, because even though I’d feel better after the treatment, every night I would go back to sleep on the same mattress, and it would mess up my back again, by morning. It was costing me a bundle.I bought this pillow, because I was getting desperate, and didn’t want to have to toss my expensive mattress, yet again! So, I thought I’d give this a try. I live in Canada, and this is one of the only lumbar sleep pillows that would ship up there, directly. So, I paid a lot in direct shipping costs, but in the end, it was 100% worth it.At first, it was really stiff, and, for the first month, or so, it was actually bothering my back - the pointy part in the centre was just irritating things even more, and I was feeling really dismayed. In retrospect, I now know that this was because it hadn’t been broken in yet. You have to be patient with this product, and give it some time.Rather than return it, and waste my money, I decided to use it under my knees for a few weeks, and, over time, I noticed that it gradually softened up. So, at that point I tried it on my back again, and lo and behold, it was like a different pillow! Ever since then, it’s been working extremely well for me and I absolutely love it! I now have excellent lumbar support, it doesn’t hurt me anymore, and my back/sciatica pain has gone away.I find that I do have to adjust it, quite a bit, to get it in the right spot, and it tends to slide around sometimes, while I am sleeping, because I roll around a lot. So, every night I just put it back to where I want it, before I go to sleep.I would say that you have to give it about a month, or two, of putting weight on it (as I said, I would recommend using it under your knees at first), so that the pointy domed part softens up, and, then, at that point, it’s really great. I would buy this again without any hesitation, and I fully recommend it. For me, it’s been a lifesaver! I would like it even better if it was a little bit longer, so that is a suggestion I would make the manufacturer – just to maybe lengthen it by about 6 to 10 more inches (length only - the width is fine), but that’s a very minor point.

I waited a few weeks after receiving it so I could give an honest review. This is by far became a necessity for me I am a side sleeper with extreme lower back pain and this does provide excellent relief for me. No more constant back pain. This is a must have.

Positives:- It helps a lot for back sleeping because it is not too thick. I purchased another back support pillow and unlike this one it was way too thick and uncomfortable.- It allows me to sleep on my side with no side of hip pain, both on top and bottom side. It works well in combination with a pillow between your knees. Until I got this pillow I couldn't sleep on my side.- It is wide enough so I can switch sides without needing to move the pillow around- It also is good for compensating for the sinkhole that old mattresses develop over timeNegatives (hence 4/5 stars):- It tends to flatten out the longer you rest on it. When sleeping on my back I still find I often suddenly wake up from back pain after the support goes away. You can just move the pillow around.- It doesn't have a removable, washable cover.Everyone's situation is different so you just have to experiment with different pillows, and although not perfect this is far better than nothing.

Super soft material and good quality but if you are small person this is not the best fit. It’s way too large to comfortably sleep with both on my back or under my legs and difficult to move around once laid flat. I was able to use it as lumbar support while sitting on the couch and that felt much better but ultimately not a cute look to keep out permanently. Returned it since it was far more inconvenient then it was worth and too uncomfortable to use daily. I got the half cylinder one from the same brand to use under my legs when sleeping on my back and that is much better.

Perfect support for my knees while sleeping... I've had both knees replaced 6 yrs ago and find now in the mornings my knees feel so stiff .. this pillow offers just the right degree of bend while supporting the knees .. in the mornings now I can get out of bed easier and with less pain..

It’s a bit expensive however it’s making me more comfortable at night allowing a better sleep. I’m a side sleeper with a dodgy hip.
