Degreeing positions the camshaft to get the best performance out of your engine, so that you can get the most horsepower and torque possible from your application. This degree kit ships with everything required to degree a camshaft when the cylinder heads are either on or off the engine, including a 9" degree wheel, wire degree wheel pointer, heads off cam checking fixture, 0-1" travel dial indicator, 5" dial indicator extension, LS-specific threaded stands, LS-type crankshaft socket, plate-style top dead center (TDC) stop and instructions. Your investment is kept safe and secure in the included foam-padded carrying case. For heads-on degreeing, an additional piston is recommended like COMP Cams part #4795.

Crank socket does not fit on LS crank snout as stated in product description. Components in kit are not even comp cams. Feel extremely cheap. Says free return shipping but I’m being charged $7. Pathetic. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Save your money.

Great quality !!I would have given it 5 stars however when I was asking if it would work on the 5.3 liter ls engines there was no answer from company. Turns out it will not there is a different kit specifically for ls engine as this one states all small block chevy but doesn't cover 4.8, 5.8, 6.0 model ls engines.

Was really disappointed when I got the kit and it did not fit the crank snout. Asked questions to the sell (jegs) received no customer support at all. Sent it back and bought the new version straight from comp. FYI it comes with the pro socket.

Dial Indicator was junk, could not unscrew the small pointer at end to install the 5 inch extension. Had to use vice grips to hold the shaft and vice grips to remove the point, which then unscrewed, But would not allow me to screw in the 5 inch extension and bent it in the process. Also during the attempt remove the bottom pointer the Dial indicator lost its ability to "spring back" to 0. Expected alot more from comp cams.

Très dispendieux si on compare avec des kit moins renommer mais mon moteur LS est en alu alors les base magnétique n'étais d'aucune utilitée .Parfais pour bloquer au tdc et faire le degreing d'un cam. . instruction très clair en anglaisPayer 275 $
