Awesome product. I bought for a trip with teenagers. Everyone got 1 and I added different combinations of carabiner. Helped to keep bugs out and to help identify who's Coke can belonged to who. I will purchase again.

The can tab has to be soda can narrow to work, but It does a bang up job at that by simply covering the opening so the cover will foil accidental or purposeful contamination. Who here really, really, doesn't want to be stung on the lip by those rascally bees, eh?Sadly the 'cover' function is not for preserving carbonation, just for preserving your dignity, and I really appreciate that. Thanks, guys!So.... Directions:For ease of use first visually check that your tab is the correct size for the opener, just slip the opener under the metal tab and push to seat fully, this action is 100% impossible if you try to jam it onto a can it's not designed for. Next, slip your fingers under the plastic and lift the opener just as though it's a metal tab, you'll even hear a slight 'click', then that psssst as you lift up until the metal tab pops and then further to push metal seal down and into the can, then press back again as you would the tab itself so it's out of the way of your nose.About those jaunty swivels:If you're ready to preserve the contents from invaders, 'swivel' the plastic tab by pushing with your thumb (either direction is fine) until the can opening is covered. When used properly this is a whiz to use but, remember, this is a novelty item with limited function so do not push too hard; or you may damage the can, the opener or even your hand (remember that there are sharp edges involved here so take good care.Kids and Adults will love the color coding feature.Nothing in the product information would open anything but regular-sized metal drink cans (6oz, 8oz, 12oz, or 16oz). It also fit my 7.5oz so I think it's a mysterious math thing. With adult adacent supervision this productt remains a great gift for kids! The color coding is an awesome feature, producing less confusion about which can belongs to who in a group of idential cans, and virtually eliminates that age old question: "Whose drink is this? Is this drink mine? Nope that one is (insert person name here)"A bit steep in price for what they are, so as much as I enoy the 4 I've got, I plan to hang on to them because I won't be purchasing replacements unless a massive price drop occurs.I mean, yeah, Inflation, but that price is ridiculous. Pray for my 4 little guys.

I DO like these 'lids'. The design is ingenious. Kudos to the inventor/developer.PROSFits the tab perfectlyAids in lifting tabConvenient 'always on'Will reduce spillageCONSWill not contain carbonationWill not contain spillageDoes not inspire confidence in opening canPossible injury to thumb when opening canAll that said, some context is in order. Initially, I was looking for something to contain the carbonation for cans left in the fridge overnight, and reduce some slight uneasiness about nearby science projects easing death into my soft drinks. These looked very simple, and though pricey at eight USD, I appreciated the clever design. Ordered even though I realized these were not intended for my use case. The work very well for their intended use, and fairly well for mine, as noted above. There is only one caveat, for which I deducted one star. (I usually don't give the fifth star until I observe a high level of durability over time. That was not this case though.)The width of the two 'tines' that encircle the tab actually *impeded* opening the can. They press on the surface of the can that doesn't open. You're instructed to press on the tab with your thumb while pulling up on the back of the Barricade. On two cans my thumb went into the opening somewhat. There were no cuts, but I can see that as a possibility, unless maybe you have wide meaty digits. Using the device to try to open the can gave me the impression it could snap at any second.I found it much easier to open the tab as I always do, then attach the Barricade afterwards. For anybody who has trouble lifting the tab, using the Barricade to lift the tab up enough to grab it without the device might be a better way to go.Aside from the price, I'd recommend these for their intended purpose. I'll get full caps for overnight storage in the fridge, but I really like these guys for daily use. They work well enough for me and possibly better for others.

I have severe RA and my hands are badly crippled. Had a hard time opening soda cans, had to ask someone to open them for me. Saw these on Amazon and although I was a little skeptical on whether they would work I thought I would give them a try. They work great. I can now open soda cans myself getting back a little of my independence.

I was a bit disappointed when this wouldn't work on one of my cans beacause the tab on the can was too big. Maybe a different type is available?

I have tried on a couple of cans. This product would be great when outdoors as insects can't get into the can. Doesn't totally seal the can, but still a great product and is easy to pack.
