It only worked for the first couple times. Afterwards, it would be a challenge to get it to work, but we'd manage. Now, it doesn't work at all. It pokes a hole in the can but doesn't latch. We've only had it for 5 months and have used it less than 20 times at the most. It's also starting to rust already! Poor quality.

Terrible can opener! DO NOT PURCHASE! I have always put Excellent Expectations in Any KitchenAid product, including this high end can opener. This product turns out to be a piece of JUNK with the KitchenAid name on it to promote the selling of it. All of my kitchen appliances are KitchenAid; Convection Smooth Top Double oven Range, High End Dishwasher, Over The Hood Convection Microwave Oven, all of which are beautiful Stainless Steel. All these appliances Are the typical, reputable KitchenAid High End Quality. But, This Stainless Steel KitchenAid Can Opener is a Terrible Product. Totally Worthless. Now I am STUCK with this Worthless, Non-Functioning product. It's ability to simply open a can has become totally USELESS! It Has been progressing to this point, The problem, or Reason is that one of the turning cutters has become So LOOSE that the pair of turning cutters will NOT Grip the can to cut the lid off of the can.

I bought 2 of these due to the kitchen aid name. They are both giant pieces of crude. They broke at the sametime.

Who knew you had to pay almost $20 for a can opener that works. I like the magnet for grabbing old can lids. This is a traditional style can opener so if you want one that cuts the side of the can instead of the top, look elsewhere. First though, you should consider if you need that style. I'm an adult and i couldn't tell you the last time i cut my finger on a tin can. The cutter works very very smoothly on this can opener.Had to throw away a brand new can opener that wasn't cutting. I guess that's what you get for spending $4. Anyway this one is better than a $12 opener from a box store also. I just hate that it costs almost $20. I mean it looks like a $12 can opener, but to be fair it does cut much much smoother than any other can opener i have used before. I am not sure that electric can openers are worth the cost, and mostly counter space in your kitchen. Maybe if you are a boomer with 280k house that you paid 172k for that includes a giant kitchen. I own a toaster and an instant pot and a bread box, which is all the counter space i have. deuces

Sem sofrimento pra abrir lata agora. Muito mais prático e fácil de usar. Não fica nem rebarba nas bordas. E ainda tem um imã pra pegar a parte superior sem se matar. Top.

Corta com facilidade o metal de tampas. Exige pouca força para abrir latas. MAS... apresenta folgas que imagino que sejam defeito de fabricação. Não tenho como comparar. Está se desmontando.

Nothing special. It opens cans as it is expected to do. Like most manual can openers sometime leaves a little bit of the can not opened. Easy to break the lid off when this happens. A little pricy.
