Purchased this to replace a broken one-way remote. It works as promised although it is a little tricky to program. I have another 2-way remote programmed to the same system and at first I could not get this to program with it. I followed the instructions that came with it to the letter several times but no luck. I went to the Compustar website and the instructions on the website differ slightly from the printed instructions that come with the remote. The difference being is that you do not have to press the button on the antenna. Just turn the key from the on to the accessory position 5 times and when the signal lights flash simply push the lock button on the remote. There is no need to push the button on the antenna. I would rate this 5 stars but I honestly think it is a bit pricey so a deducted a star

Bought this for a 2nd 2-way remote as backup since the initial package bought at Best Buy only comes with one. Price was a few $ lower than local stores, Fortunately, the car fobs that can also work with car starter but they are not 2-way as this one is. I drive with my dogs in car a lot & want to make sure they are warm or cool.I learned from the installer that this fob works well with the car’s own theft program on glass & other functions of the car.You can have up to 4 remotes. Now I have 2 sets Incase something happens to one of the key set. Happy with this so far.Choose this instead of 2-way screen with display (that was my other car but this car is keyless start) because they can get cracked or scratched so why pay more but more unlikely since it is usually in my purse instead of getting moved the car ignition to purse or whatever.
