I bought this for a fired that loves to cook and bake. She's always looking down at the book so I thought this might come in handy. She loves it! It is adjustable as we had to loosing the leg sting so it would hold her larger, heavier book but did well. It also saves counter space a the book is held up and not flat on the counter.

I have been looking for a recipe book holder for some time. I wasn't sure exactly what kind I wanted. When I saw this one I knew it was it. Plus this one was on sale. It came very well packaged. It looks very nice. I love the white on the wood. The cutting board shape is clever. Also giving it a high back to hold bigger books or magazines. You adjust this with a piece of rawhide which is stapled pretty secure onto the wood. This piece of rawhide goes thru a hole in the leg part, than you retie it. This is how you can adjust the board, higher or lower. The wood is lightweight. Holds many different size books. It also has a matching piece of rawhide at the top opening so you can hang this up when not in use. It's not the best quality, but not bad either. On mine there's a small gap in the wood where the book rest meets the back piece. Overall I like this recipe book holder

I think this is a really handy cookbook stand. It is good for holding a book, single page or an iPad to be easily read and out of the way. And it stores away easily with other cutting boards or can be hung up. I really like it. It would make a great gift for any home cook.

I bought it to hold my recipes, but my daughter loves to put the iPad on the recipe shelf so she can play Peppa Pig while eating.

The style and design of the cookbook stand is adorable and rustic. The kickstand on the back is adjustable with a leather cord at the bottom. When I received the item, the cord was tied short, and in order to get the stand to lean back at an angle where I could glance over instead of bend down to read the cookbook, I had to untie and re-tie the cord at almost the end of it. The kickstand itself is secured to the board with a small plate and 2 screws - however, mine was extremely wobbly, even though screws are tight. After adjusting to the right angle, the cookbook stand holds my tablet great! There is a small lip on the front you can see in the pictures. I don't know what the point of the little U shape is on it. The stand will hold some cookbooks, not all. Any spiral or ring-bound cookbooks sit just fine. But if it is a cookbook with a glued spine, it will not stay open. This could be remedied if there were a sort of small metal arm that came up to hold in place (I have seen this on similar items). The color of the wood is beautiful, however there is no finish on the cookbook stand. I almost got a splinter the first time I picked it up, not expecting it. Now I am just more careful when I handle it. And finally, the cord on the top makes it easy to hang on the wall. (I have no counter space to leave it out.) But due to the kickstand on the back, it does not lay flat against a wall, and looks funny with the bottom jutting out. I probably wouldn't buy this for the price unless I knew it was handmade from a small local business.

Not only did this item arrive broken, but it also didn’t have the jute string as pictured in the product photo—it’s a thin leather strap that’s haphazardly stapled to the back. Not good quality and is broken.
