I originally purchased a cordless all in one handheld soldering iron with dewalt battery compatible. It worked great for about two days and chewed up battery life like crazy. After day 2, it stopped working, only got about luke warm. Then I purchased this Soldering Iron (also dewalt battery compatible, I think you can get other brand battery compatible as well) and works great. Very good battery life. comes with many standard tips and digital temp adjustment. Highly recommend.

Truly this was an impulse buy. I have a bunch of Dewalt batteries and thought - once in a while this unit might come in handy - if it works. Well, it happened not long after purchase. I unwrapped it, plugged in a dewalt 20v 5Ah battery (which makes the solder station nicely stable. I dialed up the heat and it was quick to reach temp and worked perfectly. Given how portable this unit is, I really don't think I will drag out the weller station.

This is a good unit and works good and heats up fast, but mine has an extremely annoying coil winding screeching sound. Seems like a lot of the units have same issue. I contacted the company but there is not much they could do for me. I kept the unit for the convenience factor and don't use it that often and when I do, the screeching sound drives me crazy! Still giving it 4 Stars for the convenience factor.

First time using to solder trailer light wiring. Worked well. Ran it a little above 500 degrees and on windy day and worked really well. Used 6ah DeWalt battery did not use hardly any battery.

It is a replacement for my butane cordless iron, the butane worked great till it didn't. As long as this iron keeps working I have plenty of batteries. It is bigger and bulkier but it has temperature control which the butane was never good at. The butane could shrink heat shrink tubing but if I keep the tip clean, drop the temperature, it works too.

Working on cars, the number of times I end up soldering something while twisted around and on my back is too dam high and this makes it super easy. The added mass of the battery helps keep the station in one place too. I used the little clamps to make wires taught, worth the extra couple bucks to me.

On a new pack I placed this unit excited for the mobility and getting under the dash of my classic bmw to rework the harness and to no avail as this unit struggled to Tin the wires in the pre solder stage using flux and proper heat. I did not get out the infra red thermometer to verify the tip temperatureI must have spent 20 minutes flowing tin across 12-14 wires of 16ga awg. If setup correctly that should take no more than a minute or two. 20 minutes? Im underestimating here in honesty I think it took an hour total to solder and shrink all 12 connections. Unacceptable. I’ve been soldering for 20 years. All I know is my wireless ts100 despite not lasting a long time, can do a better job and this thing runs off 5s1p power tool cells. I was using a 6ah pack, I don’t think it was a supply problem.I can’t say what went wrong here but Mind you it says 20v on the app and the item says 21v???The sleep setting is retarded. When sleeping it remains 200f. I’d set higher it will remain higher? Logic is messed up. When sleeping it should GO TO SLEEP!. When woke it should turn on!

This thing works great! I had to Google what temp to set it to but it was easy. It heats us really quick too.

This was delivered without the two auxiliary helpers - the main reason I selected it rather than another option. Is it possible to have them posted to me?

Very practical. Works great even with a little 2Ah battery.

I picked this up because I wanted something portable and I needed something that could solder even when the power was turned off where I am working, or outside with no available outlet nearby, this fit the bill perfectly. It heats up very fast, has variable temperature control, can be switched between Fahrenheit and Celsius, runs for a long time on a 6 ah DeWalt 20v battery and is very comfortable to hold with no heat transfer to the handle. The reason for 4 stars is I can't seem to find replacement tips. This means that when the tips get used up the soldering station is useless. Now I have to.look for another soldering iron that I can use where there is power available to make this one last longer.Update 11/03/2024I found out that the cable is heat resistant silicone and I ordered a pack of 900M solder tips to see if they would fit, and they do. I am upgrading my review to 5 stars now.
