Finally got around to using this yesterday. My preivous loper had broken at the handle/blade connection. It wasn't an expensive one but had done the job for many years. Since chemotherapy did a number on my hands, I have less strength. I decided to upgrade to this one, as the design touted less strength needed on my part. And it was so. I cut larger limbs and with less effort. Great purchase!

This lopping shear works great. Cuts clean and usually gets the job done. I only wish it had a bit more leverage, but otherwise no complaints.

These are very good loppers. They are large, so maybe smaller, weaker persons should avoid this item. . Nevertheless, these loppers can handle practically any large branch. Also, the price is very good. Recommended

There is no denying that Corona Tools has been a leader and innovator in the landscape industry for decades. We own and regularly use some Corona hand clippers that are over 30 years old and they still work like a charm. This bypass lopper from Corona Tools is an absolute workhorse and now occupies a coveted and easily accessible spot in our tool shed.Because it is a bypass lopper, outfitted with a dual link torque unit, it makes quick and easy work of branches up to 1 3/4" thick. We first used it to do some much needed pruning of some thick, overgrown scrub brush and then made our way to some trees that needed their canopy raised. This lopper performed in amazing fashion. To be sure, we were tired at the end of the day, but only because of the volume of work. It would have taken much more time and much more muscle power if we had been using a different lopper.We were so impressed that the next day we ordered an additional lopper to give as a house-warming gift for a family member. At around $38, this extendable, bypass, rugged lopper is an unbeatable bargain.

Really nice lopping sheers but don't work very well on small branches. Great for larger ones and very sharp.

These are the real deal. Very strong. Surprisingly effective at cutting thru things. And they can extend to a longer length easily.I have 2 pair now.

Used to chop some big conifer shoots and handled the job well. A little weighty but reassuringly for decent jobs.Cuts were clean however a couple 'dragged, suggesting the clean cutting might not last. This was its first outing so will keep a close eye on this.Overall, very impressed for the price and delivered promptly!

These are very nice sturdy loppers that cut like a hot knife through lemon cheesecake but be warned that they are actually pretty freakin heavy. If you are a circus strongman or Navy SEAL you won't mind holding these over your head all day long but the rest of us mortals are going to have problems.I can't give them a low rating because the weight is right there in the product description, but these aren't going to be a good fit for everyone.
