We love crab in our house, much cheaper to cook at home rather than eating out. We have broken many a fork trying to open crab legs without the proper tools. We have another set but its pretty old and over time have lost various pieces.This set is exactly what we need. This is the first set I have had that even includes Seafood Scissors. It has all the tools for 5 people to enjoy crab (and more if they share). The tools are good quality and do not look like they are going to break.My favorite part is actually the storage bag. Our older sets are packed up in ziplock bags which usually tear over time, this bag will be great for us to store the tools in one place and easy to spot when its time for crab.Now if only King Crab would drop below $50 a pound here! Just kidding, snow crab is already steaming on the stove :)

This seafood set is a very basic set. The forks are decent quality. The crackers are small and light-weight, adequate for crab legs, but would be ineffective with claws, especially with Stone crabs or other heavier crabs. The scissors are small, and don’t fit my hands easily; they would be ok for thin shells.The trade-off is a low price for a light-weight set for 5 people, good for a few uses. The price is comparable to nearly identical generic sets.

Since I haven't used these on crabs, I cannot say how these tools would work on those, but they worked pretty well for cracking a variety of nuts. Given how lightweight the crackers are, I wasn't sure it would work without hurting my hands from squeezing, but I was surprised at how well they functioned. I was a little clumsy about it the first few times and mangled many of the nuts, but with practice I got better at it.

While these do work, I am worried about them lasting a long period of time. They are made of metal, but the construction of them feels weak and more fragile than I would prefer. Otherwise, they crack nuts well and will probably handle a lobster well too.

Nice set of crab pickers and crackers. They even come in a nice velvet storage bag. Typically we have to share the crackers because there aren’t enough for the whole family. This set ensures everyone had their own tools which is awesome. The only thing I need now is the crab legs!
