I love this sushi roller! I have seen this bazooka style gadget on youtube and wanted one for myself. I bought this one and decided to make some sushi for my husband who works 2nd shift. My daughter who is the sushi lover in the family gave me some help making the rice and we got all of our fillings ready. This roller/cannon made it so easy to get the rice and filling nice and tight so that the nori wrap went on easily. We made 3 rolls and by the second wrap, we had sushi that looked like it came from the local sushi bar. A few tips: 1- use a very thin coating of flavorless oil on the inside to make it slide out easily.(we just used a paper towel and dabbed a bit of oil on it to wipe the inside) 2- Once you tighten the plunger let it sit (in the fridge if you want) for a minute or 2 before pushing the sushi roll out onto a cutting board. 3- pay attention to which side of the Nori sheet you start to roll with. Mine was longer on one side and I rolled it from the wrong side on my first try which left a small area of "naked" rice roll at one end. This was fun to use and we will be making sushi and Kimbap more often from now on. My 6-year-old was able to help and my 8-year-old is using it on her own.

Makes larger size sushi rolls. But is easy and fun to use.

It's great if you like sushi, have a big family, and do not always want to go out for rolls. It's easy to make. On the first try, I made a bunch of maki. My kids said they were restaurant-grade. Unfortunately, they were eaten in minutes, so there is no photo. The only thing is that if you overload the tube, it may squeeze the content through the gap between the two parts of the tube. But overall, it's not a big deal. The device does its work.

Simple enough device, but 2 issues:1. The rolls are huge! Need to take it down a notch2. The clips to lock mold aren't aligned. So you need to hold it close.

The sushi bazooka works as advertised. Super simple. Hint: wipe a lightly oiled paper towel on the inside of the cylinder before you load it. This allows the sticky rice to glide out super easy. It’s a great tool and well made.

Took me a few tries because it’s not as easy as it looks but once you get the handle of it, you can get super creative with your sushi rolls. Saves so much money from buying sushi at restaurants.
