It lights up just fine and burns well with a nice flame, so absolutely no issues there; BUT...the crackle flame thing is nonexistent; no crackles at all; or at least, so low key it was irrelevant.

chemical smell and paper melts into log and log barely burns. whole house stank and I had a headache. duralog never did that so I'm guessing whatever chemical makes it "crackle," which is only for duration of paper/wrapping burning up not the log, causes it

Only crackles at the beginning and does not add any warmth to the home. There are better fireplace logs than this.

$62 for 4 logs....outrageous. I thought there were 8 logs for $62...still high but 4 logs for $62 is just outrageous and totally price-gouging! I order on Amazon everyday....will never order this product again.

These logs light and burn fine but do not crackle as advertised or throw any heat. At roughly $10 a log they are not worth it at all. Waste of money.
