These stoppers and airlocks are cheap, but they work well. Simply fill them with a little vodka (for ensure sanitized) and let them bubble away. These fit growlers well (1/2 gallon), and would probably fit most gallon glass containers, but I can't say for sure. I did notice the rubber stoppers had an intense rubber smell that might have permeated one of my brews. I will definitely soak these for a while to get rid of the rubber smell before the next round.Pros:(1) the price is right(2) works well(3) tight sealCons:(1) somewhat flimsy - made of cheap plastic - but as long as they hold together I'm alright with thatI would recommend these. They do the job well, and the price is right.

Price is right . Bungs are good (soft rubber so it will seal). The airlocks are thin walled so be careful with them very thin plastic. They work well.

FYI, they are made of plastic like a soda bottle. They seem pretty sturdy. The stoppers appear to be silicone, and are much lighter in color than they appear in the stock photo. I don't know what kind of bottle you're using them for, but I'm put them in 1/2 gallon growlers and they fit just fine.

Nothing arrived broken but I can see how people have had problems with this. The bubblers are very thin and cheaply made. The bungs have the wrong sized hole, as if the were made for different bubblers altogether. I would suggest that you insert the bubbler into the bung before inserting it into your carboy. Otherwise you might break the neck of your carboy, or the cheap bubbler, itself.

Arrived exactly as described. The stoppers perfectly fit 1 gallon glass jugs. Airlocks are Vintage Shop - great brand I've used over 15 years. Montrachet comes later today and strawberry wine-making is on the agenda for this evening. Best of health and hope to All.

I've canned for years but decided to embark on a new project...winemaking. I had gallon glass.jars and glass jugs, but needed the other supplies. These worked perfectly in the glass jug. I've also seen them used in the lids of the gallon wide mouth jars; this requires a little drilling, however.
