Your cart is empty. Use this 45 degree Kaleidoscope ruler to cut designs created with eight separate 45 degree triangle units such as kaleidoscopes and Dresden Plate blocks. These triangles can also be pieced into a saw tooth border. Cut triangles to a finished height of 8 inches to piece blocks that measure up to a finished size of 16 inches. A 1/4 inch dashed line is printed on each side of the center vertical line so you can cut 22-1/2 degree triangles that include the seam allowance. The ruler comes with fully illustrated step by step instructions or scan the QR Code printed on the ruler to view a video demonstration of these features. The ruler slides easily over the fabric until pressure is applied. Then, our exclusive gripper holds the fabric in place while cutting, eliminating slipping and miss-cuts!

For anyone wishing for an easy solution for creating Kaleidoscope or Dresden Plate designs for quilting, this is your answer! Plus, Creative Grids is known for their "gripper" ruler edges...the ruler is easy to slide around the fabric if a specific element of the fabric is needed, but as soon as hand pressure is applied, the ruler stays put, giving you the accurate cut you need. Using this ruler has given me accuracy in how all my Dresden Plate pieces have been cut, more than any other standard ruler without the gripper!

I am so pleased with this ruler and it is making it easy to cut the kaleidoscope triangles for my current quilt project. This ruler doesn't slip at all, it grips the fabric so there is no shifting as you cut. Since I need a lot of blocks this will cut my work time quite a bit and put less strain on my hands.

My pattern called for a 45deg template but written instructions did not say that it could be angled sideways on the strip to made a wider base. Many hours and wasted fabric was used - but I did it!
