I wouldn’t say it’s for a beginner. It can take time to understand. But it’s fun and adorable. Quality and durability is ok. But something to do with your child.

Yarn is somewhat low quality and keeps fraying and can be difficult for beginners to work with. The instruction videos are a bit difficult to follow at times as well. I did one Dino completely and it definitely came out wonky, the second I couldn’t figure out one part of it with their instructions and gave up. They were kind enough to offer a refund so they do have great customer service. I think this would be better suited for someone with some crochet experience but can still be an affordable way for newbies to get some experience. I think the kit would be so much better if they used a more thick, beginner style yarn instead and recorded their videos to show the stitches a lot more clearly, slowly, and up close.
