I have a non-standard electric mandolin that. is a beautiful and high-quality instrument. This Crossrock A/F case fits it snugly and safely with the extra padding included with it. I really like the adaptability that allows this case to carry any of my mandolins. The locks work smoothly, and it seems very protective. Love the vibrant red color. Snagging an Amazon return gave me an unbeatable value.

MULTIPLE THINGS WRONG WITH THE ITEM DELIVERED1. INCORRECT DESCRIPTION: This is a CRF1020MAFOR, not a CRF2020MAFOR as it was described. There is a difference.2. the box it came in was so damaged, I would need a new box to return it. It was literally falling off the product. Luckily the case was NOT damaged.I have both CRF1020MAF cases and a CRF2020MAF case. Both are nice cases. I prefer the CRF2020MAF for traveling. The 2020 version is a little sleeker and has an extra closure which is one of the reasons I wanted that version instead of the 1020 version.It fits most of the mandolins I have, both A style and F style. In addition it fits the Fender MandoStrat and the Kentucky KM-300E solid body mandolins. If you only need a case for F-Style get the CRF2020MF of CRF1020MF, as an F-style fits pretty loosely in the MAF version, even with the padding strip.The case seems durable, but the color on the case is a very thin and NOT durable layer that scratches off too easily.

This is a well made hard case. Latches and hinges are good quality, interior uses a dense foam which holds the instrument snug. I would trust this case if I had to check in my mandolin on a plane
