Your cart is empty.A sway control unit is an inexpensive solution to the problem of a wandering trailer. CURT sway control units are designed to attach to your vehicle and trailer at the coupling point and counteract any lateral movement in your trailer, keeping your tow load straighter on the road and giving you more control over your vehicle. The sway bar uses a material like that used in brake pads to provide the necessary resistance while still allowing your vehicle to complete proper turns with your trailer attached. The sway control mounts onto the frame of your trailer and connects to the vehicle's ball mount using a separate trailer ball from that used for coupling the trailer. This sway control replacement ball is designed to attach a sway control unit to the vehicle-side of the connection. With its 5/8" shank diameter, it mounts into the mounting tab of a weight distribution hitch or a sway control ball mount. It features a ball diameter of 1-1/4" to fit the CURT sway control unit #17200 and features a chrome-plated finish for long-lasting rust resistance.

Used for a hitch with 48"x30" motor cycle/yard homemade trailer. Trailer's tung is the bar with the coupling end. Price was reasonable, filling and shipping were very timely. Free shipping is away a plus.

This Ball is for a Sway control system so if you are looking for a hitch ball this is not what you need!I got a sway control bar with my 3,500+lb tent trailer but did not have the ball nor the hitch add on for it, so this was perfect. It fits the hole on the mount and the sway just fine.The Ball has a Diameter of 1.25 inches with a shaft length of 2 inches and comes with a lock washer and nut.The one I recived was Crome or Crome coated(just like the picture)but the coating is chipping off and havent even used it yet. {others in their comments said the one they recived was not Crome or shiny}. So rated it 4 stars out of 5 for this reason.
