I hate bulky padded straps, and I wanted a slim design with a covered metal hook. Enter this strap - it totally fits the bill. It's also great that the price is reasonable and not ridiculously inflated.

I bought this for my 11yo who just started playing saxophone this year, probably just a couple of weeks before I purchased this. The strap it came with wasn’t really made for a child, or if it was, maybe it’s meant for a bigger, possibly teenage child.Anyway, within the first use, this thing paid for itself. Getting “hooked up” was much easier for her. Getting the strap on and off and properly adjusted was a breeze for her to do on her own. Her only complaint was the lack of padding, but the original had no pad and I’m not going to spoil her too soon.Once she’s marching and has a legitimate reason for a padded strap, I’ll get her the other version of this that has a pad if she really wants it. I played guitar for over 20 years without a padded strap… and a heavy Les Paul to boot. She’ll survive a few years with the sax and bare strap!

I would say this is a good beginner neck strap. It's not the most comfortable. There is no padding on the back of your neck. The length is just right for my curved soprano saxophone. I do have to say I do not like how the adjustment loosens on its own as you play. Kind of annoying. If your on a budget, I can recommend this. If you have a bit more cash, get something else.

The neck strap I received with my Yamaha YDS-150 Digital Sax was too wide and too stiff so it was cumbersome for me to use. This strap is flexible, light weight and super easy to adjust. I purchased the strap with the locking hook to avoid any accidental drops. I’ve played sax for over 30 years, I wouldn’t be afraid to use this strap on my acoustic alto or tenor. However due to the additional weight of my regular saxophones I prefer a padded neck strap.

Well built and has a soft neck cushion. A good product.

I have used both the padded and unpadded Rico straps for a few years. Because of a cervical fusion, I was always "fighting" the padded straps to find a comfortable position and I find the unpadded, regular nylon strap to be more comfortable. The nylon is wide enough so it doesn't dig into my skin and it simply molds itself around the base of my neck. It is so comfortable, I forget I am even wearing it!I also have this strap in both the open hook and snap hook designs. The open hook is better if you are doubling on another instrument and have to make quick changes; the snap hook is more secure and I like using the snap hook on my cherished Mark VI alto.

Great neck strap , but even greater once I added some gas line hose from an RC plane over the metal hook at the end so it didn’t slip or scratch my new $10,000.00 Yani alto.

Clip is plastic but should hold up fine, this is my first sax so i have no experience. But it is so much better than the strap provided with the sax, looks and comfort.

Poco que decir de este articulo. No tiene acolchado pero se siente bien en el cuello. Tal vez con el tiempo pueda dar una opinión de comodidad, pero sin duda alguna es mejor que el que trae el saxofón nuevo. Si lo recomiendo.
