Live in Wisconsin (near Lake Michigan) and humidity is ALWAYS a problem, both high and low, depending on the time of year. Started using the Humidipak system for my Taylor guitar in January '23 and have had to replace the three (3) packets every eight (8) weeks since. My Taylor guitar has the TaylorSense adapter installed and I monitor the humidity in the case (HC) faithfully. The in-case humidity never gets above 43% (avg 40-41%) and when the humity stays at 39% (red) for more than 24 hours I change the packets. The entire system, including the TaylorSense IS NOT cost effective and as the packet ingredients start to harden the packets are often difficult to position in the guitar following a playing session. All that being said, I will continue to use the Humidipak system because it does what it states it can do and that is the bottom line and hopefully, D'Addario will improve this product soon. I will update this review following our Wisconsin summer which is notorious for high-humidity periods. Hope this assists.

Summer humidity in my Portland, OR. house always seems to hoover around 65%. Taylor builds their guitars in a controlled 46%. So, mine is equipped with the awesome Taylor Sense which registers and tracks humidity levels, very handy for those of us who need to measure everything. Using 2 of the "Absorb" D'Addario packets (per the instructions) in the case at night keeps the guitar at a fairly constant 54 or 55% range, well within acceptable humidity levels of 40-60%. Adding a 3rd packet did nothing. So I was able to achieve about a 10% reduction in humidity levels. Hoping for a bit more de-humidification, hence the 4 stars. But I think these are a good option.

In college I did not understand the connection between humidity and guitars, and I was horrified when the top of my guitar cracked and pulled away from the binding. Now (much) older, I keep the guitars in their cases with these humidity packs, and all is well. For the first purchase, buy them with the soft fabric envelopes to go in the guitar cases. Be sure to give the packs a squeeze once in a while and replace them when they get hard or crunchy. In my house, which I keep fairly humid, the packs last for months.

I've been a D'Addario strings user since the mid-90s, refuse to use anything else. Buy a lot of their other products too. But this really didn't seem to do anything. After two weeks in the case, the humidity is the exact same, i.e. high-ish. YMMV, of course, but it was a waste of £40 for me.
