Nice kit, it's everything the average guitar player needs for maintaining their guitar, at an affordable price! I've used the lemon oil on my acoustic guitar's rosewood fingerboard, and indeed it looks like it cleans it and conditions it nicely, without leaving annoying residues. I have not tried it, but I think the lemon oil can be used in other parts of unfinished wood on the guitar as well, e.g. bridge. As a general advice (not because of this product!), I would not use the guitar polish on unfinished wood. This guitar polish itself does the job and really shines the guitar body and also leaves a pleasant "woody" odor. Finally, I only used the string cleaner on new strings just before putting them on the guitar. I cannot tell whether it's really doing something, but I guess since it's there why not use it. Oh, and the clothes are also very very nice and together with the string winder they come in very handy, no need to purchase cloths (at least for basic maintenance) and string winder separately.

This kit has the guitar polish I usually use (Dunlop 65) but also lemon oil which you need for the fretboard. What passes for "lemon oil" may not really be lemon oil if you are buying furniture polish. Not every guitar product is safe for a guitar, so hopefully this is suitable. The kit also comes with string refresher. The instructions say to apply it to NEW strings. Well, I just restrung the guitar and this kit took ages to arrive, so I'll try it out next time I restring. There are two soft flannel cloths that come with for polishing; they are a tad linty and an old tee shirt works as well.My kit also had a small string crank (nice to have a spare to keep in the bag for travel) and a single square of These last may have been promo items, as the instructions in the box say nothing about them. I've seen people put tape (some say electrical tape but I wouldn't want sticky adhesive on my fretboard--maybe paint masking tape would be free of residue?) and then you rub the cloth on the metal frets to polish and remove debris. When you buy these for five simoleons, two come in the pack, and they don't last a long time. Some people use fine steel wool or even a block of wood to rub on the fret instead--or Flitz polish. For what it's worth...

Comes with a lot of goodies and easy to follow instructions. I had to throw out my stuff when I moved a few years ago, and finally decided to get the whole kit. Nice to have a backup string winder in my 2nd case, and a 2nd cleaning cloth dedicated to each instrument as well.

Got this in a few weeks ago and i couldn't be happier with it. The lemon oil fret cleaner is great and works the first time. The guitar polish removes all fingerprints and any oil and gunk that could be left from your hands or finger. And the String refresher works great. I put it on before i play. It brings your strings back to the way they sounded when you first put them on and makes them slick for quick playing. The microfiber clothes sheds a little bit but that's the only problem i have had. Ill definitively refill everything when i run out.

I bought a previously owned Takamine last year. This year I started a new band, and have been playing quite a bit. I changed the strings recently (Martin medium guage Lifespan SP treated strings) and noticed how grey some of the frets were becoming. I really haven't learned how to care for my guitars over the years so I looked on the net for some tips, since I now have a Tak acoustic/electric and a Gibson SG Standard electric. Lemon oil was among the favorites for rosewood fretboards. I bought this Dunlop care kit, which came with fretboard dressing, general cleaning polish, and string cleaner. It also has 2 polishing cloths and a string winder tool. The first thing I did was remove my strings, and apply the lemon oil to one of the faded frets. I used the polishing cloth to work the oil into the wood, and instantly: WOW! The deep wood color was immediately restored. The entire fretboard looks like new again. I haven't used the string conditioner yet, as this is more of a maintenance-over-time, and can't really be evaluated unless you play often, and can compare the life of your strings before and after using this product. I would definitely buy again, and would recommend to any friend. Price is definitely right too.

I like that I didn;t need to buy anything else to bring my guitars back to life, just recently retired from work, used to play guitar a lot but because I worked nite crew for 25 years I didn't have the time the guitar needs to be good! Now all I need is to get some tuff stuff under my finger nails and I'll be back in the saddle

These are great products but for the same price you can get the same three products plus a fretboard cleaner and conditioner and cloths. Just look for the Dunlop maintenance guitar kit

This cleaner is kit is great it is inexpensive and comes with 3 different cleaners. A Body cleaner , a String cleaner And fretboard polish. The body cleaner wont remove scratches but will remove any fingerprints, grime and residue. this cleaner works on gibsons, fenders and all other types. The string cleaner is strait forward. it will restore the sound of your strings and prevent rust for some time and then it will become ineffective and you will need to change your strings but i does extend the life of strings. The last product cleans and restores the natural oil found in wood it is a great product...WARNING DO NOT USE ON MAPLE FRETBOARDS. THEY ARE A WHITE COLOROverall this is a great product i recommend this for all guitar players that want to protect there invesment.

If you care about your Guitar, then this is a must have for you!The only glitch is that the Fretboard cleaner is only for the unfinished Fretboards. Cannot be used with mapple ones. So, if you have a mapple fretboard guitar, then it might be better to buy the Dunlop Guitar Polish and Dunlop String Cleaner separately.

I love this stuff. I've been setting up all my guitars and using this kit I get the absolute best results possible. The lemon oil makes the fretboard silky soft and really shows off the wood grains. The polish basically turned my black les Paul into a mirror and the string conditioner is fantastic. All around, highly reccomend this product.
