I have the 10s sets on an ff and oval hole. Love the smooth feel and they sound great. They are bright but didn't have that funny sound that new strings sometimes do. They tuned right right up with no real issue with stretching, and I expect they will continue to last.

I was sad to see they quit making my favorite Elixir strings, so I purchased these. So far they have been very good and I will purchase again when needed. Still second to Elixir.

I used to buy elixir, mandolin, strings, but as you probably already know, they are no longer available. So they search for good coated strings began.After going through a few, I finally found these, and I can definitely say that they are almost equal to elixir strings. I am careful to wipe them down after I’m finished playing and that definitely helps a lot.These are good strings! They sound really great on my Northfield Big Mon!

Love the shimmering tones and they last 5 times longer than regular un coated stings so. They are more expensive but worth every penny.

As a matter of personal preference I like J74’s better for their clarity and tone. I was a huge Elixir fan for years until they were unavailable during covid. I don’t feel these are an equal alternative to Elixir strings for my ear but they comfortable to play.

I think they're a little bit expensive @ £22 on Amazon ,but they're supposed to last longer than most other brands as regards ,string clarity and tone ,so we'll see as I just put them on my mandolin.
