A great reel all round. Everything is super smooth and frictionless. The power is strong and will have no issues with pulling fish. The drag system is pretty nice and definitely top notch. My only issue is that there is no antireverse switch but that just means that this reel has one less room for failure.

Overall reel is amazing. It’s smoother than the old BG, and lighter as well. It would get a five stars but while reeling it makes a noise. Sounds like the reel isn’t greased up. Only makes the noise while reeling up a fish, lure or sinker.

My son loves this, I bought it for his birthday!He says it's great quality & he can't believe I didn't pay more for it. He's almost 18 & totally nerds out on fishing with his friends, so he knows what he's talking about lol

Surprisingly light for its size. Feels as good, if not better then it's USD counterpart. The power handle gives you an edge with big fish. I can fish this all day.

The new 23 bg sw is half the size as the old bg 4000. Unbelievable size and weight difference 1 less bearing under the spool old bg was 7 now 6,they have removed the bearing under the spool and the spool no longer has the braid ready rubber, mono backup fixes that though.overall very happy with the 23 model.
