We moved into a new house and needed to replace the worn out Eljer handles on a sink, shower, and bathtub (3 places). We looked at several stores and could not find anything that had a square mounting stud. This Danco replacement has a square mounting stud. The handle is the same size as our original Eljer. The replacement was smooth and now these 3 handles look ever so much better! Hooray!

Replaced broken shower handle with this replacement part. Fits perfectly. Design is simple and cost is reflective of the material used for the part. Overall, it is hard to disappoint when used as a replacement part for Valley Shower handles.

I bought this item to replace an older like item that finally after several years gave up the ghost and cracked apart. I installed in on a new Danco cartridge for which it is designed. From years of experience I knew it must be snug and not wobble but not tight as it is, after all, acrylic I believe. It must have been a bad lot because it lasted only hours before the base that fits over the cartridge shaft cracked into many pieces. Fortunately I had bought two, so on the second I found a washer that fit the circular depression on the front with a hole through which the screw is placed and over which the cover snaps on. I used two split rings I forced over the barrel on the under side to add strength. The barrel is a long, circular tower if you will on the under side of the knob and drilled out and shaped to fit exactly over the cartridge stem. A day later I discovered the second ring loose and pieces of plastic it had failed to prevent cracking. The first, lower on the barrel looking down at it remained in tact. So now it's lasted almost three days. Wow! I ordered two more as they are specifically designed to fit on the cartridge stem and hoping they were a different lot. If I have to use them I will again use a washer under the screw to spread the tilting forces involved and I will wrap the barrel with steel wire to help keep it in one piece. I have upstairs an original Valley knob still going strong after years.

Not much to say about a lavatory handle. It is identical to the one that had been on my sink. The previous one lasted 20 some years and I expect this one to last for a while also.

It was hard to find a replacement for my shower knob that had crumbled to bits. This was essentially the only option without replacing the whole thing. Even the universal handles didn't fit right. It definitely looks nicer than the old one, but I wish I had more options. It does the job though and was

My fault entirely!, I should have noticed in the pictures that the packaging does say that it is for a sink faucet, I need one to fit an old style "Valley" single handle bath/shower mixing valve and cant easily find one, I have found one online that looks like the one I need but it was over $50 plus tax, then another one for $12.99 plus tax and $ 45 courier shipping but there are no dimensions given or really any info. at all. I guess it will be safest to replace the complete valve which entails a big job, going in through the wall from a bedroom closet. Too much faff to bother returning this one so it will join my collection of "supplies" or be donated to the local charity DIY store.

Loose fitting. Lots of wiggle even when fastened properly with added silicone tape.
