I used these knobs on a DIY project on threaded ready-rod. These knobs spin on and off easily and the plastic seems to be quite sturdy. So far so good

Worked absolutly perfect. Exactly what I need. I lost one of the knobs off of my Yakima bicycle rack, and this was the perfect replacement.

Use these star knobs on some woodworking jigs, Drill Press Table Fence, jointing jigs etc. They fit well in my hand and turn on the bolts fluidly and hold well when tightened down. Great value for the money.

After educating myself, as to the pitfalls others wrote about other brands of 'star knobs', regarding defects or poor design, I picked these 'Star-Knobs', to complete the miter saw table.Most likely, since you're reading this, you know what they're used for. In my case, they're for tightening down the 'stop blocks' on the miter saw table. They don't have any parts that might fall out. And,at a quick touch of your finger, you can spin them all the way till it hits the tightening point.Not much else I can say except; Good product. Nice looking. Price is right.
