Typically I read reviews before making Amazon purchases. For whatever reason I didn’t with this purchase until after. Based on some of the negative reviews I was fully expecting to send these back.When they arrived I understood what some other reviews stated. This tape is thinner than your standard butyl tape, and does feel similar to duct tape. That being said, it adhered better than the expensive professional grade butyl tape. You can see in the photo where my contractor grade butyl tape is peeling up. Yes, the Tatuo tape is thinner and lacks the pressure sensitive butyl rubber, but will definitely do the primary job of protecting joists and blocking from rain.I can’t say how long it will last in drastically fluctuating hot/cold environments. If that’s you, I would recommend a professional grade butyl tape. But in a more stable climate, I’m confident this will do it’s job for many years.Also, I had zero issues peeling the tape away from the backing.

Deck joist tape worked excellently. It was very sticky and stuck perfectly to the joys. It was easy to install. Great value.

The tape is great, one of the best I've used. The backing paper rips and sticks while installing. It took way too long to apply. Lays flat and sticks well.

I'm doing some repair to an existing deck that did not have the flashing tape added to the top of the joists to prevent rotting from water pooling on top of the joists.The rolls are wide for the double joists but you'll need to slice the roll in half width for the single joists/stringers.The tape backing on this stuff is incredible. don't get it against anything you don't want it sticking to!Good product. Install was easy.

Sticks nicely to joisted and is easy to peel off. Just not as heavy as some of the other tapes. Still did a good job. It will still take a few year to see how well it holds up.

This is thin tape, glorified duct tape.Does not have rubber sealing backing like a good joist deck tape should. Regret buying it to finish last 3 feet of deck joists.

Yes, this tape is a decent, cheaper alternative to the branded deck tape rolls at the big boxes, but you will blow a fuse when applying it. The paper backing is near impossible to peel consistently, tearing every few feet. Good, fast, cheap- you can only pick 2.
