Works great for Synology server which can't accept the removable "T" in my case. This item is very sturdy and nicely built. Worth paying the higher price for.

Will NOT WORK for all Dell Laptops. The lock did not work with my new Dell laptop. Be careful to make sure it is compatible with your device before you decide to purchase it. You will have to rip open the packaging to test it in person, and this may void the ability to return the product or reduce your compensation. It was an expensive mistake to make as a college student.

Great lock. Feels solid - despite the swivel feature that I worried would be a weak spot. The keys aren't giant and obtrusive like many others. I consider that a large plus. It has slightly rubberized seal where the lock fits to the laptop. I happen to have a Dell laptop and it fits perfectly with no empty space. This lock also has a slightly different pin mechanism than I've used before which appears to address a common weakness in these locks in that it was possible to "pinch" the pins and release it from the device. That doesn't appear to be possible with this lock.

This is a strong computer cable lock, and easy to install, except in my case I had to drill a couple of holes in my computer desk for the cable to pass through. I knew that I would have to do that so it wasn't an issue to me. I would recommend this computer cable lock to others.

Beware. This won't fit most of Dell's manufactured now. Wasted my money on this. Dell's website has very little information on what locks to use. Enter your specific model on a search engine and read forum posts to get the right one. Most of them now use a Noble Lock TZ08. Good luck returning it. The packaging is going to be hard to hard to open and pretty much unusable when you are done.

Mom was at convelesent hospital where things go missing. I was able to secure her laptop to her bed with this and it worked perfectly. Laptop never stolen. Easy to unlock when we needed to move the laptop for use.

Be careful, doesn't work with Dell at all. Complete lies. Dell uses a different type of locking mechanism. This doesn't even enter the slot.
